Hello! Six months is quite late for a dogs' testicles to drop. You should get your vet to examine him and confirm the situation, but it may be likely that he won't father a litter. Vets don't perform operations to pull testicles down at any age as such conditions are thought to be hereditary and would simply be passed on; furthermore, undescended testicles develop a little at the wrong temperature, which can predispose badly to testicular cancer. This is a good indication for having cryptorchid dogs neutered.
