“Beyond the call of duty”

My cat Gino became a 'patient' after being run over, and my regular vet refusing to see him as i didnt not have the funds available to cover the emergency consultation/treatment. The RSPCA recommended Thameswood and from the moment i stepped through the door i understood why. The surgeon who operated on Gino(Nick)was very honest about Ginos injuries, and gave a true estimate of cost. He operated on Gino and even when Gino appeared to take a turn for the worse he showed compassion and honesty - and put up with my crying and snivelling pleading to keep Gino alive no matter the cost. Only once Gino was well enough to come home was the matter of his bill discussed - and not only did the fantastic team at Thameswood welcome me and Gino in a very difficult time and get my boy back to good health they then set up a manageable payment plan so i could pay his £1100 bill. Truly amazing people who are clearly in the business for the care of the animals and not the money. Not only did they save my Gino's life but they took a huge risk on me, and i will always have a great respect for the whole team.

“Highly recommend”

Purton Road surgery were very understanding and helpful when my 15 year old Parson's Jack Russell had a stroke. They are also great with his replacement Spot, who is a west highland X, and very energetic and excitable. I would recommend them to any one.

“Caring Vets”

Our dog, Pippa, is 8 years old and has spent a lot of time at Thameswood Vets. They are such caring vets and always explain things carefully to us. I wouldn't go anywhere else. All the staff are supportive and friendly. Pippa is an important part of our family.
