I am sorry you feel so unhappy with the service you have received. Unfortunately, our standards of practice do come at a cost. Making an accurate diagnosis often requires a number of tests or procedures – and many need to be sent to specialized laboratories. However, making an accurate diagnosis allows treatment to be more specific. This is important as it maximizes the likelihood of success. In human medicine it is also not uncommon to end up without a definitive diagnosis despite numerous tests. An allergy is a very good example of a condition where, despite many (often expensive) tests one may not conclusively identify a specific allergen. Regrettably, despite our best efforts we do sadly lose some patients too. However, we always aim to treat our patients as if they were our own pets whilst always being mindful of the costs involved. We want every client to be fully informed of the cost implications involved with every diagnostic or therapeutic decision.
