“A cat with character!!!!”

Maxi, is an old cat with a character! Not always easy but the practice has always been superb with him. They know how to deal with him and us! We thoroughly recommend this caring place even if Maxi doesn't 'talk' to us for a little while after a visit! We have so much confidence knowing Maxi is in their care. Thank You!

“Thank you for my our Mitsy moo moo better”

This was the first time our cat had become unwell, and it took a few days for us to realise as she had spent some time with grandma as we had been on holiday and always came home with the strop for a few days, so it was hard to see she was actually poorly to start with.

Our frst call to the vet we spkke to Brenda, such a lovely lady. When we brought Mitsy in to see Shilpi, i was immediately put at ease with how freindly she was, and showed she actually cared for our pet. Previous vets i have been to treated my pets like slabs of meat or like a commodity with no care of feling, but not here.
Shilpi talks to your pets like they are part of a family.
The Reception team are all very freindly, and after a few visits, Mitsy was all well - she had picked up a viral infection from somwhere which just knocked her for six.
The team even offered to complete my insurance form for me.
Mitsy is now back to her normal cheeky self, but said to me that if Shilpi has to check her temperatre again, in the the place where you check it, she may have to get angry :-)

“Thank you ”

My four year old Dalmatian is more than a little anxious about visiting the vet and I struggle to get him through the door. Shilpa and the team always treat him with kindness and do everything they can to help make his experience less frightening, even to the point of providing his top up booster in the boot of the car! Many thanks to you all.

“Excellent care, wonderful staff”

I can't express enough how good the care is at this veterinary practice; all the staff are lovely and very helpful. Our cats both received the best care here recently. We've been coming to this practice for 10 years now and with each visit, I feel assured we are taking our lovely pets to the best place for their health care.
There is such a focus on giving pets the absolute best care and treatment which is very reassuring. Shilpi is a brilliant, highly knowledgeable vet; pets are treated with upmost care, kindness and respect and she explains things clearly but in a professional, thoughtful way.

“5 Star Treatment! ”

My family and pets have been clients of the practice for many, many years. I was concerned when Mr Phaff left the practice and wondered for a time whether I should seek an alternative practice after a small blip. However, since Shilpi has taken over, I'm pleased I didn't. She is a professional who takes care, treats with compassion (both humans and animals) answers questions, allays fears and treats my pets with kindness.

Shilpi took the time to show me around the practice. The practice has been updated (behide the scenes) to a modern, clean and hygienic area with a spacious holding area for our pets. A small theatre and x-ray area has been included.

My pet was not placed in a pen, after surgery, which indicated to me the level of compassion for an animal not used to a cage. The nurses limited his stress by talking to and comforting him. He now loves visiting the surgery!
Petcare is expensive, but I've noticed that the prices are now very competitive and was surprised that the consultation was less than it has been on previous years.

“Cat care”

I have been visiting Medivet Langley for four years with my cat Jasper. The staff are accommodating with appointments and always friendly. Pet care and vet visits can be expensive but this is something a responsible pet owner should consider prior to becoming an owner. They have efficiently helped with my insurance claims.
When Jasper needed treatment for a serious illness, I felt he was getting the very best care. Shilpi and the Medivet team are thorough with examinations and offer plenty of time to answer my questions. I was able to call for updates and they explored every option to get him well and kept me informed. On routine visits since, they welcome Jasper and make a fuss of him.
The new refurbishment (behind the front desk) is very clean, fully equipped and comfortable for all animals. I was lucky enough to have a guided tour from staff who are right to be proud of their facility.

“Touched”

Took my patchwork kitten, Chloe, to be spayed. Everything went smoothly. Chloe recovered very quickly and began bouncing around the house as soon as she came home. I was also touched by a get well card the practice included. I've tried two other vets in this area. I will stick with this one.

“Helpful and Professional”

All the staff at Langley are very professional.There were some test results which needed clarification,and the vet called the laboratory while I was there and gave me the answers straight away.Everything was explained to me in great detail.Every one involved with treating Twinings was polite and very helpful.I would strongly recommend this vet to anyone I know,they are a good team.

“Tivi”

Tivi was hospitalised last week for 2 nights, excellent service and totally trust the hospital in Watford, which was excellent.

One area of concern I had was based on cost.....I don't agree with being charged for 24 hour stay when it was only a part of a day (6 hours to be fair !). I am praying the insurance company have the same cost structure as this vet, otherwise I am the one who loses out.

Overall, the care for my pet was excellent and the vets/staff were very friendly and straight forward.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review and your comments about the excellent service at our 24 hour hospital in Watford. We aim to ensure that our charges indicate the high quality of services we offer. Our hospitalisation fees cover not only, nursing care and time but also other elements such as disinfectant of the environment and bedding. Hospitalisation fees are a fixed charge to cover these costs and therefore are not based on an hourly rate. We like to give all our patients adequate time to recover well enough to go home and in some cases this may take up to 24 hours. I hope this clarifies any concerns you may have, however if you would like to discuss this further, please do give us a call and we'll be glad to chat with you.

“Good vets.”

We have been using this vets practice for about 20 years, awhile it was run by Mr Phaff and now Medivet. As a previous reviewer stated, apart from some new faces, the friendly nature of the staff is the same. Our pets have had a lot of work over the years and we feel the staff know us and our animals well. We are very happy with the new vets and feel their communication with us is actually better than with Mr Phaff. We also like that our cats ongoing medication is regularly reviewed and that the receptionists/nurses make such a fuss of our cats when they visit & catch up on what they have been up to! We would recommend this practice.

“friendly and helpful”

I took my molly as soon as we bought her. they treated her very specially and give us very helpful information as it is our 1stpet.
when she needed an operation for her cherry eye they helpedme a lot with communicating with the insurance company and the werevery caring for her and supporting to us sincethe day we discoverd the cherry eye, during the operation and the recovery period wich was around 2 weeks. the gave her a recover soon card wich was very touching and send to all the family christmas card.

“Vet with an attitude!”

Took my youngest dog here today for the first time. My older dog has been coming here for years. The reception staff and veterinary nurses are absolutely wonderful! So helpful and friendly. One of the vets however has a terrible attitude and I was not impressed! She didn't seem to care about my panicking dog at all and even rolled her eyes a few times as he freaked out! She cut the quick on his nail, which I know is easily done, however she did not even move from her chair when twenty minutes later he was still bleeding all over the waiting room floor! Its such a shame Mr Phaff has retired! Would not go back again!

“Friendly personal service - Recommended”

Everyone at Langley make you feel special and really care about your animal. I had to take Rico there last night for a cut on his leg, had a warm reception on arrival refering to Rico by name from the start. They do everything they can to fit you in an emergency, ask you lots of questions and give good advice. I have always experienced a wonderful personal service here and they have the pets best interests at heart. Also they haven't let big business change their wonderful individual treatment. Would definately recommend this practice for anyone who wants a vet who truely cares about their animal.

“30 years and counting”

Since I was 4-5 years old Mr Phaff has been the family vet with my menagerie of animals in all shapes and sizes. The staff are all lovely and show great compassion even when you get a hysterical person like me crying and being sick outside the surgery after the loss of their dog. My dog was scared of the surgery so they even came out to the car for the dreaded deed and with a box of tissues, so they really do go the extra mile. Many a time have they been on the end of the phone just to give advice. The whole team is highly recommended and I wouldn�t go anywhere else.

“Wonderful Practice! Would definitely recommend!”

I have used this vets for over 13 years and have always received first class treatment for my pet and wonderful caring and helpful service from all staff. They are friendly and easy to talk to. Nothing is too much trouble! Not even clipping my anxious dog's nails! I also believe that their charges are reasonable too!
I would recommend this vets if you want a vet that cares, is easy to talk to and who does not mind those dopey questions pet owners ask.
