“Beechwood”

I normally use Beechwood in Garforth as this is nearer to home but occasionally have to visit Crossgates to renew Ellie, Tina and Poppy's passports. This time I also brought Bonnie to get her a passport so she can join us in France. The staff are always helpful and friendly (at both practices)and I would recommend Beechwood to anyone with pets.

“ proffesional and caring ”

My sister reccomended these vets to me when my usual vets let me down.If it had not been for Alison and Caz saving my cats life and giving him a chance, and all the after care by the staff involved,i would have not been able to enjoy the last ten and a half precious months with him for which i am very greatfull.

“Honest & caring vets”

Been using Beechwood for a number of years now with various cats and have not had any problems with them.
Must give a special mention to Alison who looked after Timmy for us.

“Avoid avoid avoid”

I would strongly urge you to avoid this vets at all costs. They insist on adding extras to your bill such as unneeded blood tests and examinations which only distress the animal further. They also add extras to the bill which you were previously unaware of until the bill is queried! This surgery used to be well respected but has gone from being a professional, friendly vets to a money making, sales office in recent years!

Beechwood Veterinary Group - Crossgates Surgery

We apologise if you feel that additional charges may have been added to your bill following treatment of your pet. Blood tests and further examinations would be recommended by the veterinary surgeon following a full clinical examination of your pet. Ultimately we are here to provide care for your pet and we regret that you feel on this occasion you have been let down by our service. If you would like to make an official complaint regarding your individual case may we ask that you send this in writing to info@beechwoodvets.com for the attention of the Practice Manager.

“Would wholeheartedly recommend.”

We have used Beechwood (formerly Bouvet, Butterfield etc) since moving to Leeds in 1984 and have always experienced excellent service. The vets have treated our pets and the occasional wild animal we've found with kindness and respect. They have shown great compassion when we have needed animals putting to sleep and gone out of their way to make the experience as easy for us as possible and as stress free for the animals.
There may be cheaper vets in the area but reliability and professionalism are important to us. As these qualities are never in doubt we continue to use Beechwood.
There have been changes in staff as mentioned in another post but it is possible to find out when a certain vet is on duty by asking the receptionists if the matter is non-urgent or continuity of care. Certainly Mr Stoddard and Mr Hartley have been working in the practice since the 80's, the older original members retired and made way for younger vets.
“Great Vets, Highly recommended.”

I have used Beechwood Vets at Crossgates for over 20 years. They have always provided excellent treatment and services for my pets. Alison worked wonders on my dogs leg after he broke it falling in a hole 5 years ago. Everything from initial injury through to full recovery was dealt with with compassion and skill. All the team at Beechwood Vets are wonderful. The receptionists always make you feel welcome and make sure you see the same Vet where possible and the nurses care for my pets like they are their own. I have recently taken on 2 kittens that were abandoned on the Vets doorstep and they keep in touch to see how they are getting on. I can highly recommend them to anyone with a pet. I will never go anywhere else.

“Would not go anywhere else”

These are the vets to be registered with if you live in the area. Everyone very friendly and helpful they have been looking after our dog for almost 5 years now and helped us when he became ill with hypothyroidism almost 2 year ago. Have always been happy to fit us in at short notice too when needed. Well done everyone at Beechwoods
