I had to bring my 19-year-old,, cat Leo to Willows last week as he was drooling heavily and hiding.
The vet, Lorna, was very kind to Leo and mindful of his age. She even told me to phone with a progress report and if I had further concerns about Leo.
I'm pleased to say that Leo is now feeling much better and still enjoying life.

When Splodge was found after 6 weeks he was in a bad way. He was taken to Hartford buy the RSPCA and the vets scanned him and rang me. Hanna was fantastic with him as was all staff. Unfortunately he had to cross rainbow bridge the following day . Everyone was very sympathetic to our loss including the vet who was a cat owner and knew what we were going through and was honest with us. We collected his ashes a week later which came in a beautiful engraved wooden box with a lovely card from the practice . I couldn't have asked for better . I just wish more people would get their cats chipped . I'm so grateful that because of his chip we were able to say goodbye x

My dog became very I'll suddenly and I was sent to Hartford vets from winsford . I was greeted with polite staff who were willing to help and listen which I appreciated at the time . my dog was young but uninsured and I was worried I couldn't afford to treat my baby for his life threatening disease until I met BRUCE that man has compassion for all animals he was not prepared to give up on my baby so neither did I . the nurses are also lovely my dog had to stay for a few days and they really looked after my dog well and spoilt him a bit I think . I have decided that I will continue to travel to Hartford for my animals as they really are wonderful and I feel relaxed there

I''ve just transferred my dogs care to the Willows group. One Saturday afternoon he was very agitated and I noticed he cut to his cut (he is very dark so cuts are hard to see). I phoned our vet which was put through to Hartford). The service on the phone was brilliant, allocating an appointment that was suitable for travelling, giving me clear directions. And offering the availability of calling if lost or running late. I got him there in plenty of time, the reception staff were reassuring, and had a calming nature, given my dog was in pain, distressed, anxious and had a long journey those attributes were more than welcomed.
He got admitted straight away, no issue about me not taking our insurance documents, was given clear instructions about what would happen, and that they'd contact me. Bruce was brilliant with him. And gave me a rough time scale too. I got home and Bruce called saying I venture back (I'd got lost coming home as I was so worried) so he gave my directions again, and told me how to collect my dog. On getting back to the branch I was given clear printed instructions on what had happened, what to expect and to contact them if any issues. All before my dog came back. Giving me chance to put tablets in my bag whilst they got my dog from his kennel. He looked well cared for and a funky bandage on his leg.
He clever (!) dog somehow managed to get his bandage off .... No idea how, back to Hartford we go again... This time was stuck on with plaster.... Which worked. On this trip back, and on previous trips lots of staff and customers spoke to my dog, with caring voice looking at his poorly foot, admiring his bandage. Which given his anxiety was really welcomed by me.
Thank you so much, so glad I made the switch as I feel that my previous vets wouldn't have operated or seen him until the Monday. Brilliant service, and not as expensive as I was expecting either.

After being very disappointed with a consultation at Middlewich I sought a second opinion from Bruce about my boy George. He became very ill very fast. Bruce and all the staff had huge patience with me and my worry. George stayed over for a week at the vets and I was able to visit him every day and comfort him for a short while giving me the reassurance that he was being looked after. Unfortunately George was just too poorly to pull through and we had to have a home visit. Both myself and George were treated with respect and saying goodbye was heartbreaking. Elaine was very supportive everytime I visited with George and afterwards when I collected his ashes. I can not thank Elaine enough for the little chats through one of the hardest times of my life.

My 11 month old kitten, Harry, ate some cake with raisins in, which can be lethal to cats.
I phoned the vet and was told to bring him at once and was seen within a couple of minutes of my arrival.
Everything was explained well to me and I was kept informed of Harry's progress as he had to stay for the weekend. My insurance form was filled in for me when I collected Harry.
Excellent service and Harry is his usual lively self again after a frightening weekend

Excellent! They are absutley wonderful at this vets, I've had experience of all the vets here. Tori has recently saved our Chocolate Labrador after a vicious attack by a pitbull breed, nothing was too much trouble at any time of day or night. She even called with test results on her days off, she saved our much loved dog and gave great emotional support to the family on weekly visits. Second to none

As a scientist and someone who works within animal care and welfare I am very particular about the care that our animals receive. We currently share our home with 3 rescue cats and a rescue border collie and all have received exceptional care at Willows Vets, including for emergency visits. All the staff are friendly and helpful and obviously care very much about the animals they see. We regularly see Lorna, who always goes above and beyond to help our animals. Given that all are rescues and have had some truly horrendous experiences, trips to the vet can be stressful but they all love visiting Lorna, and are often excited to see her. All our animals receive the best care they can, and Lorna is always very helpful, professional and patient. All the staff are great and it's a wonderful experience to visit such a well run veterinary practice. Fees are reasonable, facilities are exceptional and Lorna's differential diagnoses have all been well thought out and effective.
I can't recommend Willows Vets highly enough.

I have been taking Jess, my cat, to Hartford since she moved in with me & they have always looked after her very well. Last Wednesday she was put to sleep, she was very ill and getting on for 16 years old, it was heart breaking & I lost my best friend however I would just like to say Thank You to everyone at The Willows. They were so kind and understanding to both of us & the other day I received a beautiful card from them which really touched my heart.
