“Thank you to the staff”

Many thanks to the helpful and efficient staff at the cattery, who have helped me and Snedgus a great deal recently. They are a credit to the company.

“By far the best vets I have ever used”

I have a 17-year-old cat (which in cat years is about 85). She has had some quite traumatic experiences with other rather uncaring vets who did not listen to how to interact with her eg no grooming or only stroking her neck area. I was, therefore, very wary about taking her to any vets at all any more. On moving to Cheadle Hulme, I found Woodcroft Veterinary practice in Bramhall and took Penny along for a consultation as she had had two epileptic fits. I immediately was put at ease by the very welcoming Gemma. She took time to chat about Penny, asked about her and really seem to care. I felt very heartened. I then met Ashleigh the vet, who again was absolutely lovely with Penny. She spoke to the cat as well as to me, which meant a lot. I explained that I was really worried about leaving Penny for a day for blood tests, because of her past experiences, and Ashley listened very patiently to everything. We made a plan together for Penny and her care. I was thrilled to find that Woodcroft has other branches in the area and I took Penny into the Councillor Lane branch for her day out. Being just next to my work meant that I was close by in case of problems. On picking her up in the evening after her blood test, she seemed calm and relaxed. It is such a relief to find a vet I can trust with this beloved family member. She has since been again for another blood test and and I know that, in her last years, Penny is in excellent hands. Thank you to the whole team across all the branches.

“Happy client”

My 12 year old cat has been visiting Woodcroft for many years.He has hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and sees cardiologist vet Jane regularly for updates and treatment. More recently he was reffered to vet Donald for investigations into vomitting and he discovered a rare polyp blocking his intestines. Surgey was performed by specialist Graham Hayes to remove the polyp which was sucessful. Having unfortunately had to use various different areas of Woodcrofts service, I have only ever received the most professional service and advice, and all of the vets and nurses that I have dealt with have been so caring and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Woodcroft to others.

“Bensons doctors ”

I cant speak highly enough about the practice , everyone is friendly , caring and professional . Our dog Benson has just had a cyst removed , we were concerned as he is an older dog and a English Bull Mastiff . The vet Sylvia was so kind and lovely , explained everything to us and the follow up with the nurse removing stitches . Our dog just loves his trips to the vets , dont know if its the chews he gets and the fuss thats made of him .
I would and do recommend them to anyone wanting a vet . Thank you all

“Room for improvement”

So dissapointed to be writing this review but think it needs to be done.On so many occasions when I have taken my pet(s) to the woodcroft practice in Handforth I have been left feeling concerned about the lack of kindness and courtesy demonstrated by the reception staff.
They show very little real interest in the animals which visit the surgery and are very motivated by revenue opportunities.I have seldom come across an organisation who you would expect to be warm and welcoming to be the complete opposite.There is definitely room for improvement !

“weight loss clinic”

I just wanted to mention that one of my fat cats (!) and I visited Jenny the weight-loss nurse this morning and she was brilliant! So friendly and understanding, completely non-judgemental and very helpful. Fat Cat I are seeing her again in a fortnight and I really feel that she's on our side and that a slimmer puss will soon emerge!
Can I also take the time to mention Ashleigh and Gemma. Ashleigh has treated two of my cats now and is fab and Gemma (Bramhall receptionist) is so lovely and always takes a genuine interest in all the cats I take to the practice.
You have some super staff at Woodcroft and I just wanted to flag that up and say 'Thank you'.

“Fantastic”

I have used Woodcroft Vets now for 12 + years and they have been amazing. Unfortunately I've had to use the A&E service which is particularly excellent, all staff treat the animals as if they are there own and keep the the humans totally up to date and re-assured at all times. I am shortly moving away from the area and the new vets that I select will have a lot to measure up to. thanks Woodcroft for looking after Phoenix, Poppie and the lovely Mollie who passed away 2 years ago. :-)

“Thanks”

Can I just say how outstanding the service has been at your vets in Cheadle Hulme. Each and every one of your team has gone above and beyond. For e.g. today Jenny one of your nurses hand delivered a free bag of puppyRoyal Canin food to my grandma's a very short drive away from your center because they figured out it would be too expensive for me to have the food delivered to my new address in Wigan (which is why I had to have the food delivered and not collect)

I am gravely saddened that this vets is not in my area as I would most certainly stick with you. Please extend to ashton in makerfield or even wigan. Until then I will have to make do with another vet center and hope for decent service.

The above is only a brief touch on the great service I have received by your very friendly staff.

“Badger”

I have been to quite a few different vet practices over the years and find the staff and service at Woodcroft Vet Group in Heaton Moor superb.
My puppy, Badger, was a regular at the puppy parties where he had great fun. When he damaged his eye the staff took excellent care of him. I was very upset at the time and found the staff reassuring and I was very impressed with their professionalism. When we arrive at the vets Badger becomes very excited and loves to see the staff.

“Excellent A+E Treatment ”

Last Sunday my greedy 6 month old labrador decided to crawl on his belly into a space he should not have been able to get and ate a full sachet of rat poison. Luckily I spotted it and knew he needed emergency treatment. In an extrememly worried state I phoned the
A + E service.The staff were very calming and reassuring and 30 minutes later my labrador was in the vet being treated.
The vet explained everything to us in so we understood all the aspects of the case and the reception staff calmed my nerves and made the whole experience as easy as it could be. Woodcroft provided a first class emergency service. Well done to all those involved you definately get my recommendation.
