“My view of Wythall practise.”

I had spent 20 years with another vet prior to joining the Wythall practise and left when I felt I was no longer getting the service I expected.

I have changed to this practise and feel they have genuine concern for the welfare of my dog.

“Baby Darcy”

I have always been extremely pleased with the service & care at your vets, Wythall .
But the care we received last weekend was tremendous & I want to share my gratitude.
Darcy was taken very poorly on sat morning & I rang the girls ASAP, they was waiting for us to arrive where they took Darcy off us & straight to the vet.
We was kept updated at all times, reassured & even had a cup of tea!
Darcy was transferred to the hospital in Coventry.
Darcy is a big part of our family & this week has been a struggle.
Darcy is not 100% yet but is getting better each day.
I can not express my gratitude enough & my thank yous can not express how very grateful we are!
Thank you thank you thank you!
Lots of love

“My Cat”

My cat who was only 3yrs old was very ill the vets did all they could to help him but it was hopeless it broke my heart to have him put to sleep. At first we were told we could pick his ashes up on the tuesday which would have being 5 days so rang on that tuesday then were told they would ring us. They rang my husband to say he would be there which was the 10th day after he passed away. Myself and my husband went there to pay bill and pick his ashes up. Husband paid bill then girl at counter said i will go and get him. I looked at my husband in shock thinking they are not taking us into a room to give him over to us but over the counter i just couldnt believe it i lost it and had to run out of the vets i was so upset that they did that. They need to re think how they give the ashes back to the owners and not over the counter...

Leigh Hinsley
Practice Manager

We are so sorry that the service you received at our clinic recently caused you upset at an already emotional time. We have in the past taken clients into a consulting room to hand over the ashes, however, some clients found this more distressing as it may have been the room where they last saw their pet. As a result of your feedback, we have instructed our reception team to offer clients the option of receiving their pets ashes in a consulting room so we can avoid any further distress in the future. We are very sorry for your loss and for any distress we may have caused.

“Disappointing”

After rushing to get to my appointment I was very disappointed to be turned away for being 4 minutes late. I'd booked a '5 minute' appointment apparently - just to get my £5 off an annual booster and that was all the time allotted to me. I hadn't realised that a mere 5 minutes was allowed to book me in, check my pet over, make friends with her before giving the injection, prepare the vaccine, do the vaccination and complete the card. What a conveyor belt. So, I'd pointlessly taken an afternoon off work. That aside, I do not think it right that so little time is allotted and it never used to be like this! Last time I came they did a full and unrushed health check and advised me on the health of my older dog. He is not good with vaccinations so he had to be muzzled. I cannot see how he could have been dealt with within 5 minutes.

Leigh Hinsley
Practice Manager

We are sorry to learn you felt that you didn't receive our usual high standard of customer service during your recent visit to our clinic. The vaccine Express discount of £5 is offered to healthy pets with no previous medical conditions or problems on the basis of a 5 minute appointment with a vet.
This 5 minute appointment is supported with extra time with our support staff such as our trained Pet health Advisors or our Veterinary Nurses. With the help of the support staff, the vet can focus on the health check of the animal and the injection within a 5 minute appointment slot, and we can use this time management to help us pass on cost savings to all our customers. Unfortunately, due to the narrow timings we are unable to accommodate late arrivals as we usually can do, although we will always offer you the next available appointment. I'm sorry you were not informed of these terms and conditions of the Vaccine Express offer. As a result of your feedback, we have explained to our call center staff how important it is to explain the terms of the offer and advise clients about the time restrictions in the future.

“GREAT SERVICE!!!”

After having my kitten ran over, he was brought to wythal and while he was at wythal vets and Coventry, the staff were amazing on keeping us updated on his condition, and the next stages they were going to take, he then had a metal plate put in his leg and had his tail amputated and was treated with respect all the way with the fantastic team, he has since sadly deceased but We now have a puppy which we bring to YourVets along with our other 3 Cats. YourVets is the best place for my animals to be!

“My Thanks To You”

I have had pets of all varieties, shapes and sizes , for over 60yrs. As such, I have needed veterinary care for them. I just love pets and have brought my 6 children up to love and respect them also.
I can't recommend Your Vets highly enough. The staff at Wythall are just amazing. My Westie(Wesley) has to have on going treatment for a mild skin condition and joint problems. He is very happy to be seen by all the vets and nurses. I don't need to worry when he has to stay for the day as the staff keep me informed and I can tell when I go to collect Wesley that he has been very well looked after.
In August 2013, I had to have my beloved Penny put to sleep.( A border/bearded Collie Cross). She was 12yrs old and had been our family pet since she was 9weks old. She had incurable bladder problem. We were distraught. The staff at Your Vets were wonderful and we held Penny till she passed on. Wesley is now also in his senior years and we know that one day we shall have to face the same decision but we know the staff will do all they can to make this time easier for us. Thank you All for your love, care and dedication to both animals and owners. God Bless you.

I highly recommend this vets and all the staff who work there.

“Trusted and Modern Vets”

We have been using Your Vets at Wythall since moving to the West Midlands 8 years ago. We have a small pack of basset hounds and all attend the Wythall surgery. Last summer Clooney, my old boy, needed surgery and the vet and team reassured us that although risky in an older dog, they would take very good care of him. The continuity of care from the vet and nursing staff went beyond our expectations and our dog made a good recovery.
The pet care and service provided at Your Vets Wythall meets our needs and I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to other pet owners. The mixed approach of open clinics and fixed appointments gives us the flexibility to bring our dogs to the surgery when it is convenient to us. A trustworthy and modern vets who humans and dogs are comfortable with. Thank you.

“Highly recommended - FANTASTIC PRACTICE”

I brought my two animals into the practise today. Normally this is a very stressful situation for me and the animals but i received such a warm and friendly welcome from the reception staff. Layla was very nervous getting on those scary scales but the receptionist was so patient with her. Marcin the vet called us through and it was like he was greeting his own animals he knew their names and gave Lola a BIG cuddle.

He listened to all my concerns about both of them and talked me through everything, making sure i understood (he even drew me a picture when i didn't). Next the lovely nurse came through and took Pepper the cat for a blood test. She reassured me that she would be OK and 5 minutes later appeared back in reception with a purrring Pepper (not sure I would be purring after a blood test), she then talked me through everything i needed to do to prepare Pepper for her operation and even printed off some information for me to read through.

Everyone was so caring and treated me as if they knew me and my pets personally. I will be recommending it to all my friends and family - I'm actually looking forward to going back and so are Lola and Pepper

“Excellent friendly staff and service ”

Hello my name is Iris and I am 11 weeks old on Saturday I went for my second vaccination and kennel cough vaccine , upon arrival I was a little frightened because I had been and had my first infection and that stung a little bit !! But the friendly staff made me soon feel at home and it smelt nice too . I was waiting in the waiting areas for them to call me in and then I heard it " Iris Palethorpe " so I thought here goes ..... And so I took a deep breath and off I got carried into the treatment room where I was greater by a lovely nurse and she was great at giving me treats to take my mind off the injection - and to be honest it never even stung this time then I had kennel cough that went up my nostril it was a bit strange . Then another nurse popped in called Hannah she was happy to see me and I got more fuss and cuddles ! Overall I enjoyed my first two visits to the pet vaccination clinic and I will be back without any worries or hesitation as and when I need to :) thanks everyone from Iris ( 11 week old Jack Russell puppy from Alvechurch ) :) xx

“Highly recommended”

We and our dogs have been clients of this practice for many years. The service has always been excellent. Lately we have had more involvement with the practice as our dog is now 16. Maria, the vet, has been wonderful with her, giving us choices to keep her pain free and able to go for short walks. Maria has shown great empathy with our beloved pet.
I find it very convenient that there is the opportunity to book an appointment or to turn up to clinics without an appointment.
The whole experience from being able to park easily, the booking in & reception, the vets and treatment, not forgetting the cost, is first class and I would not hesitate to recommend this practice.

The operations went smoothly and i got them home on the same day - they had had plenty of cuddles from all the friendly happy staff. I went back for my cats post op checks and the staff couldn't be happier to see me and my animals. Would definitely recommend this practice to everyone!

“highly recommended”

Marta the vet at Wythall Your Vets saw my little crossbreed and recommended her to have a teeth clean as her breath was smelly and some of her teeth very dirty. I was so worried as Jessie is 13 yrs old and I didnt know how she would take an anaesthetic. Marta and the nurse were very conforting and so professional in the services they offered me to keep her safe whilst she was alseep.

Jessie came through her anaesthetic without a problem and all the nurses looked after her and when i picked her up they were all so caring and explained everything to me so thoroughly.

I travel a long way to come to your vets but its well worth the journey for kind and caring people to look afetr my best friend.
