Went to have my dog (pug) checked last week as she was limping on her front paw can't fault the first vet very polite throughly checked her over even checked her back legs as well, she said she's in great health as I was concern about hemivertebrae disease, excellent advised me to come back if she still limps. She got better then she got over excited and ran and jumped off the sofa she started limping again so took her back to the vet. He asked me to put her on the floor so he could see her limping he agreed there was still a limp on her front paw he offered more pain killers for a longer period and recommend extreme rest. He only felt her front leg will see how she goes if she doesn't improve or it happens again she will need X-rays in case there's something more servere. I asked how much the X-rays were he quoted about £300 I said shes ok she is insured, do they accept payment from my insurance company or do I pay them, then reclaim it back he said I would need to pay first and claim it back from the company not a problem. Went to pick her off the table he asked me to put her back on as he wanted to check her back legs. So I did he told me she had a problem with her knee he checked the other one and he said both knees needed surgery and he can book a consultant over in Coventry to do the work he did repeat hm self several times which made me feel pressured but I knew she got checked the following week nothing was said.Going to get a second opinion. Not putting my dog through unnecessary operations or stress. Will be taking her to another vet once the pain killers have ended interested to see what another vet says. Also there was small amount of dog poo by the reception desk several members of staff walked straight past it one even put a yellow sign over it. Takes a few seconds to pick it up.

I'm sorry you feel disappointed with the consult provided to your pet, I looked at clinical notes and investigated the case.
Our vet performed a thorough exam, checking both back and front legs in order to assess your pet's problem and your concerns. Medial Patellar Luxation (MPL), is a very common orthopaedic disease in small breeds and especially when low in grade it could be asymptomatic. Our vet recommended a specialist consult, either internally or externally, if you wished to investigate the problem further.
We care about our pets under our care and it is our ethos to be open and honest, therefore the vet mentioned his findings to enable you to make an informed decision.
With regards to the poo on the floor, thanks for bringing this up with us. Unfortunately, accidents happen in the waiting room and usually all the staff are prompt on cleaning and disinfecting the floor, however we rely on clients to notify us when these occur. At peak busy times staff may mark a hazardous area with a sign to pre-warn clients to allow themselves time to resolve the situation as soon as humanly possible.

This is no longer "the affordable vets"
Prices have increased dramatically over the last 6 months.
Prices are now in line with other vets. The only cheaper ones are PDSA and RSPCA but you have to be on benefits to qualify.
We will definitely not be rehoming any more animals in the future - or ever.
However, they do remain the vets that love your pets and are pleased with the care and attention our pets receive from the vets, who seem to be dwindling in number recently and are changing constantly, as are reception staff and nurses.

My dog visited this vets 3 times now in 3 weeks has has two lots of urine tests and two lots of blood tests and still I'm only told what it could be, if it's an infection then give some antibiotics but don't stress the dog out anymore, you now want to have her for a day for blood pressure tests all this is adding up she only came in as she wet herself. My dog is eating and drinking as normal. Tests done at the clinic didn't bring back anything so more blood tests (2 in 2 hrs) and another urine sample were sent away and still nothing conclusive. All this seems to be is a money grabbing exercise. I paid for the last set of tests before leaving my dog then when I came to collect her I had to pay even more, nearly £200 for the last set of tests, beginning to wish I'd never bothered. I thought I was doing the right thing but three weeks later and I'm a lot of money down and my dog is no better or worse than she was.

Our Head Vet and Practice Manager have been trying to contact you several times to discuss the matter and to explain Tess's condition further. Unfortunately, some medical conditions are not easy and straight forward to diagnose, therefore we needed more tests in order to reach a final diagnosis.
Increased thirst and toileting, both in frequency and amount of wee produced, are symptoms that should never be ignored and that could lead our patients to be very poorly in the long term, so we take great care to diagnose this type of symptom correctly.

I took my 17 yr old cat for a check over as he didnt seem right, when i was finally called in i explained the symtoms my cat was having to the vet who then looked at my cats eyes/mouth and took his temperature and said there was nothing wrong with him, he didnt even ask me any questions! there was no care or compasdion at all! i then told him again that he was drinking alot so he told me to wait in reception while he did some tests i was assuming he was doing a bloodtest and urine sample he came out 2 minutes later and said he couldnt do it and if my cat got worse to bring him back, i was gob smacked because i knew there was something wrong with my cat ! I then went to pay the bill, i asked the receptionist why a bloodtest wasnt done and her reply was we dont do bloodtests as it stresses the animal to much so i left feeling worse than i went in.
I then took my cat to another vet because i knew he wasnt right to which i have found out my poor cat has a tumor . . I am mortified the fact that your vets had no care or compassion what so ever and missed the fact my cat is very poorly. Since i found this out i have rang up 3 times to speak to a manager to let them know of my awful experence and still no call back !! All i want is an apologie and a refund as you did absoulutly nothing to help my poor cat ! You should be ashamed to call yourself caring vets.
We trust that since the event and the subsequent times that our head vet Chiara discussed the consult with you that the issue is now resolved to your satisfaction. We are sorry for any misunderstanding concerning your pet and have issued a refund for your visit as we should have offered the blood test, for which we offer our apologies.

Cannot thank this team enough for their care and compassion showed to my dog Alfie. Claire Alfies vet was amazing. She was so kind and understanding and took time to explain all our options and their scenarios to us and nothing was too much trouble. Alfie is an old boy who collapsed suddenly and turned out he had a tumour on his liver. He has since had it removed by Peter who we are eternally grateful to and his prognosis looks good. All the staff we dealt with were extremely professional and caring. Thank you.

Brought my beloved cat molly to sadly be put to sleep on monday, the empathy and kindness shown was overwhelming. I cannot fault the staff concerned both on the day and when I collected her for cremation today. I'm absolutely devastated at losing my sole companion and I was left alone to spend some time with her.....thank you all from the bottom of my heart xxx

I took my cat to YourVets in Wythall because my cat needed a dental for his bad teeth. The receptionists were very welcoming, the vet very informative and the staff on the day of his dental kept me informed by text which was convenient because I cannot take calls at work. When I went back for the check up the nurse was really helpful and chatted to me about the things I could do to keep his teeth healthier going forward. As a very worried "mom" they made it a lot easier!

After a traumatic morning of bud pooing on the car with nerves and roping in my friend to help me as I had my two young children,we arrived 7mins late for our follow up appointment.
I explained the reason why we was late and was turned away. I have used this vets for the last 10 years and have never been made to feel the way I felt today. They was very uncaring and didn't care that my dog really needed the follow up treatment. I live quite far away as well not that any one cared. After 10 years of using this vets I will not be using them again
I am sorry to hear you were unhappy with the service you received at our clinic. We try to be as accommodating as possible when clients arrive late for appointments because we understand sometimes unavoidable occurrences happen. Unfortunately on this occasion there were only 3 minutes of your appointment time left and we would not have been able to carry out a thorough consultation in that time period. Due to the appointment system, we must try and remain on time for the other clients who would otherwise be left to wait beyond their appointment time if we see late arrivals. Often there are appointments available within a short period of time and we would usually offer for you to wait for one of these to occur, however, unfortunately we were fully booked until late afternoon on the day of your visit which is why our reception team offered to rebook your appointment for another time or day. I am sorry we could not accommodate you on the day, and hope this explanation will help you understand we will always try our best but sometimes it is not always possible.

Brilliant Vet's. Thorough Professional Diagnosis, treatment and after care.
All the staff we met on our visit's from reception on were friendly, caring and knowledgeable.
