“Wouldn't go anywhere else”

We have had to make a few visits of late with our mature cat Hootie. From the moment you phone and go in the reception staff are welcoming. Matt Saw Hootie through all his treatments and his advice , kindness and professionalism is outstanding .His honesty also makes decisions to be made easy and he always wants your thoughts in regards to your pets . There are a lot of staff that we didn't, meet but played a role in Hooties health. Nic was amazing very informative and showed genuine concern about Hooties well being .Sarah-Jane is like a breath of fresh air. She has great people skills and loves to talk to the animals in the waiting room. You are amazing and add a personal touch. I could go on about this vets. Keep up the good work.....

“Elizabeth Cebulska”

After a complete change in character of one of my friendly, bouncy, funny and affectionate cats to a completely subdued and clingy, clumsy pet, Elizabeth very gently but thoroughly examined and diagnosed what the problem was, although the case was so unusual she was not completely sure of the cause. However, her explanations of possibilities and advice were comforting and very comprehensive. I am so grateful to her for her service and compassionate professionalism. I will continue to follow her advice and am confident that she will look after my wonderful cat. Thank you, Elisabeth

“Always there for you”

Two occasions I have needed care urgently and they have been more than happy to attend my dog. The first time was the worst. My poor dog was viciously attacked by a bull mastiff. I thought I had lost my dog. Lea hall put him back to together with kindness, professionally, with superb love and dedication. That I will be externally grateful for. Even reception staff are so polite and helpful. I would pay all the money in China for their care for my pooch. Thankyou

“Poppy”

I had to take my pom poppy to see Matt as she had lost the use of her front left leg.
After tests and X-rays is was still quite unclear what was wrong.
Matt decided on a course of treatment taking into consideration Poppy's age and disposition.
Both the staff at the branch and I are delighted with the result.
I can only heap thanks on Matt and the rest of the team for a very professional and extremely friendly service.
At every turn they fussed pops and made her feel at ease, which as every pet owner knows is very important.
Star rating 10 out of 10.

“Death of kittens.”

I took my nursing cat and her four three week year old kittens to the clinic as she showed the symptoms of mouth ulcers. My cat and the kittens where checked over by the vet and were said to be thriving and healthy. The vet treated my cat for mouth ulcers with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory, which we were told would be fine used on a nursing cat and the kittens would not be affected. Later that night the strongest and healthiest kitten took ill and had passed by the morning. In the afternoon on that same day another became ill and showed similar symptoms. I took him back to the clinic where he was sadly put to sleep. This was very distressing to me as I enquired why my kittens were so ill and I did not receive an adequate answer and felt I left with no understanding or idea what had happened. A day after I noticed the mother cat's milk had dried up, I purchased formula milk which at first they took to very well. Now another kitten has taken ill. I am seeking advise from credible sources.

Carrie Borthwick
Practice Manager

I'm so sorry to hear that you have another kitten that is unwell. Looking at your pet's medical history the vet had mentioned that the kittens did look healthy in themselves at that point but could develop cat flu due to the symptoms that the mother was carrying which can then be easily passed on.

Flu is not a nice Virus for cats to have especially small kittens. Cats and kittens can sometimes go off their food due to not being able to smell which can also make them go downhill very fast.

Unfortunately small kittens do not have good immunity to diseases and will pick a disease up from their mother very easily.

If you call the clinic, the vet can discuss this matter with you further and go over in more detail everything that they spoke to you about that day. We would be willing to have a look at your other kitten for as you mentioned that he/she was not doing very well either at the moment.

The past few weeks have been very hard for me with losing a bunnie and guinea pig, the staff and vets have showed nothing but kindness. “Thank you”

I would like to thank all at Stechford especially Matthew, for saving my dog Toby,
I was on my way to my regular vet with Toby, he was really ill and after so many years of tests with no real results apart from diabetes the only kind thing I thought was to let him go, so after a night of saying tearful goodbye to our Toby, as I was preparing to leave I asked my husband "why don't we get a second opinion" so we agreed and I brought down to Stechford. Toby only walked into the room and he was diagnosed on appearance "Cushings" I had not been approached about this from the other vet in the six years I had been taking Toby him there, anyway all I would like to say again is thank you for giving Toby a new lease of life he has picked up and he thinks he is a puppy, he wants to play at 0600 every morning he throws his teddy up in the air and expects it to chase him, I will posting a video of Toby to show him playing and enjoying his better health and life.

I would also like to thank all for the support and understanding I received after losing another of my dogs suddenly everyone were fantastic

Thank you

“We have our Angel back”

Just wanted to say a big thank you to all at the clinic, especially Matthew who has given us back our lovely dog. She's gone from being lethargic, thin coat, disinterested and a bit 'round' to being engaged with us, wanting to play, energetic and just generally beautiful, fluffy and slender, as she was as a puppy. When my husband takes her out now, he's often asked if he's got a new dog! No, she's just our Angel, after Matthew's care. Thank you to all at the clinic.

“Big Thankyous”

Over the past my two dogs,Bluey(spaniel)& Jessy(westy)have been spending some time at the Stechford branch. Over this period my dogs have received procedures to help their health continue to be an healthy one. I'm still awaiting for my spaniel for further surgery in your Coventry branch which will be at the end of this month.
During their stay I've been overwhelmed with the support, reassurance and kindness from everyone I've been introduced to. This starts from the reception area with Lesley Toner and her local colleagues who are so great at what they do i.e. Sophie Browning and Nic Mills. The two surgeons by the names of Liz Cebulska and Debbie Smith who completed an eye wedge resection and who both helped and reassured me. My other dog had more of a sensitive case to highlight which involved a tissue biopsy which came back malignant and the surgeon involved in this process was Mike Harney. He supported me so much with his calm reassuring ways and he supplied me with more information about surgical outcomes via a text message which helped loads.
Finally, during all of this, I also met a member of staff by the name of Sarah-Jane McGinley who as the gift to speak to people and who is so important to the happy nice atmosphere going on in this warm welcoming environment.
I cannot give any negative feedback. Even the female manager to the whole practice is lovely too.

our little Lilli-boo, it was a difficult decision but the right one for her, to say goodbye, however I could not praise the Junior Vet and indeed the Vet in attendance who made sure Lilli - boo was happy, made a real fuss of her. A calm and peaceful goodbye. Although afterwards heartbroken I couldn't have wished for any better treatment. Thank you for your kindness and support you are brilliant.

“Care and Respect for our lovely dog Mia”

On Monday 31st March we had to make the really tough decision to put our lovely little do to sleep. Mia had been ill for a few weeks and didn't respond to the medication. I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Mike and all of the team who tried really hard to help her get better. I can honestly say that she was treated with the utmost repect at all times and when it came to Monday the care that was given to her was great. We also thank you for the time you spent discussing her illness and ensuring we were fully informed.
As a family we are devastated by her passing as she was much loved but thank you, especially to Mike and the team and we appreciate all you did for Mia.

My husband had to bring my cat Luna in on Saturday 18th Jan for Euthanasia, she had been suffering with cancer and it was her time to go. The staff were so friendly and efficient and they made a very difficult time easier for us. Thank you for caring. I have met many vets who seem to care about money first and the pet second, but your vets obviously consider the animals welfare first and foremost. Thank you.
