I took all three of my cats to Goddard (formerly Ashton)for all the years of their lives. They got into several scrapes and one even became quite famous as she once presented with a heart rate of 200bpm! Sadly my cats are no longer with me but all lived long and happy lives and received the best care from the team both through their lives at the end. I hope to get another feline friend in the future, will I register them with Goddard Vets? Yes, I most definitely will. Thank you to all of you for all your care.

Our dog had an eye problem that initially appeared to just be an infection, it developed in to an eye ulcer and the vets and the nurses were fantastic, they had a wonderful caring manner with my dog, were open about costs prior to any of the procedures and were honest about the different options and success rates. With all the follow up appointments following surgery, the costs were really reasonable, we have re-located so can't use Goddards anymore but I would highly recommend them to anyone, and our new vet practice just isn't as good! Maybe my
expectations are now too high - little things such as talking to my dog before me at the start of an appointment really suggests they cared about the animal.

This surgery is open at very convenient hours catering for people that work. I have never had a problem getting an appointment when required and all of the staff are good.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this practice and all the lovely nurses and vets who work there. I was lucky enough to be recommended this practice (Ashtons as it was then) when I acquired my first cat and 19 years later, one more cat and a recently acquired dog, our relationship with this practice is still going strong.
These vets are not in it for the money they are genuinely interested in the welfare of our pets and the best possible care for them. That's not to say they don't have to make money but the care comes first.
When I moved house 3 years ago the lady who bought our place had a dog and I recommended our vets to her as they were new to the area, I subsequently found out they went to another vet group. Their loss as far as I'm concerned - not saying there is anything wrong with where they went just that you will be hard pressed to find vets which are so good at what they do at Goddards. I do have to say I had some reservations about whether the practice would change once it joined Goddards but my fears have been unfounded and I remain a loyal and very happy customer.
Thanks for all you do for us and our animals. :-)

I have taken my animals here for 19 years. The vets and nurses are professional and clinically skilled and go above and beyond to provide medical treatment and continuity of care. They are always happy to take the time to to discuss and explain treatment options and offer friendly advice and support to owners.
What really makes this surgery the best is the genuine care and affection for the animals. They are all treated and known as individuals, with everything being done for their welfare, health and happiness.
They are fantastic people, who make an outstanding team.

I have been bringing my Barney (affenpinscher pup) here for sometime now after I wasn't totally happy at another vets that we originally used. I cannot fault the service here. The level of care is second to none and both me and Barney were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. The nurses are always cheery and greet us with a smile and show a genuine interest in how we are getting on. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and Barney gives them his 'woof' of approval too

I have used Goddards, formally Ashtons for the past 20years, and would NEVER change my vets, the Nurses are always so smiling so that goes without saying that they LOVE their jobs and have a real passion for animals, Emily the Head nurse always speaks to my dogs first which in my opinion is the way it should be Patient FIRST...they love going into the surgery so that says it all!!

I was very fortunate to discover Ashton vets (now goddards) 5 years ago. I have 7 cats and a dog so I spend a lot of time at the vets so it is very important to me to have an excellent relationship with the staff.
Thankfully we have had the same wonderful staff for the past 5 years and each and everyone of them really, genuinely cares about animals welfare. This practice is not about making tons of money. This practice is about making sick animals well and doing everything they can to put the owners mind at ease at the same time.
I have recommended this vets to all my friends and family as I spend so much time there i see all the staff as friends now.
Although each member of staff is wonderful I must mention a few who really stand out.
Lisa and Marie are on front desk and are a couple of angels. They are often taking on sick animals at their own expense to get back to full health so they can find new homes for them.
They always greet you personally and always make time to give your pet a fuss before they go through to see the vet. I would be devastated if either of these wonderful girls left.
Russell and Julia are two of the finest vets you could ask for. They really are good, kind people who I trust completely. When my female cat was sick last year Julia rang me every night for a month to see how she was. Can you imagine another vet showing that genuine level of care?
We now have a new permanent vet at addington called Kay. I am thrilled to say she fits into our practice perfectly. She cares, she never rushes you and she has every time made sure your pet has a big fuss. She is proving to be a firm favourite with all us customers.
Keep up the great work everyone, we are all so grateful to you.
