We have been using Medivet for the last 15 years and are so glad Grant chose to come to Waltham Abbey. His kindness and caring for our pets, and us too, is immeasurable as is that of his team.
Our Cairn Terrier Maisy became unwell and thanks to Grants quick actions and cancer diagnosis we were able to spend another 2.5 years with her before it finally took over her entire body. Likewise with our Cocker Spaniel, Molly, who suffered from a number of ailments which Grant diagnosed and found the right treatment for her.
All of our dogs loved/love him and get excited when they hear his voice.
Don't know what we will do if Grant ever decides to move on or go back to Zimbabwe. Don't think we will let him! Thank you Grant.

My elderly cat Panther became unwell quite suddenly and had to be taken to the emergency surgery, staff advised me of the extra cost before attending which was helpful. when seen the Vet was gentle and talked kindly to Panther while giving him a through examination, she could find nothing immediately to give a diagnosis but recommended a blood test and that he stay in hospital. I was told it was ok to ring at any time to get information on his condition and was reassured that the staff understood the anxiety when their animals were ill. I did ring several times, unfortunaltey the next day after further tests it was discovered there was nothing that could be done and the decision was made to let him go. It was suggested to come to surgery later in the evening so that it would be possible to spend time with Panther to say goodbye, which was very thoughful and appreciated. I was very distressed, but reception staff and nurses were very understanding, bringing me Panther's collar and even a cup of coffee to help settle me, their understanding as such a sad time really helped. They took on board that this was a bereavement like any other and that acceptance is what makes me recommend this surgery to anyone with animals as part of their family. All the care and attention that was given to him during his stay in hospital has been something I can look back on as being the best last days that they could have been.

My dog had a front leg injury and couldn't walk. He is a large dog and I live in an upstairs flat so couldn't get him to the vet. To make matters worse my vet could not come out. I contacted medivet who were amazing. They were so understanding and registered me over the phone. They came out to us by lunchtime. I cannot praise the vet and the nurse who visited highly enough. My dog is scared if strangers and they were so gentle, kind and caring. Absolutely fantastic staff and service. Thank you x

I have been going to this Medivet at Waltham Abbey since it began many years ago. Our current Vet Grant has been there through all my cats problems and illnesses, and we have had a lot of cat's pass through our lives now. I don't know what we would have done without him and all the lovely nurses.
They not only understand the cat's problems, but are truly sympathetic with the owners as well!
I have visited other vets from time to time with other people and have come to realise how lucky we are.

I couldn't recommend Grant high enough. I had a 13 year old dog that got ill and I kept going back and emailing with "different ideas" knowing really all the time it was my Alfie's time. all the I was fluctuating with being angry upset and resolved to the inevitable. Grant and his staff dealt with me with great patience and also of course Alfie. Grant took such care with Alfie and me and when the time came was so respectful of my wishes. Grant has a great back up team in his staff and this review is by way of thanks to them.

We have been attending Medivet at Waltham Abbey for many years and have always found the staff friendly and caring.
Since Grant, who we have found to be the most caring Vet we have met, has been working there - it seems like one big happy family! We have had several collies and they are not the most bravest of dogs but they are treated with such patience by all the staff and spoilt rotten!!
We will never forget the care our previous dog "Max" received when he started going lame and when we finally had to part with him - Grant and his staff helped us over a very difficult time.
Thank you Medivet - please don't ever let Grant "go back home"!!

Have been going to Grant at Medivet waltham abbey for several years now after chopping & changing with other surgery`s because of poor service.
As i have 4 dogs i can spend most of time visiting Grant & the service, care & friendly welcome we all receive is second to none.
All of the dogs love going in to the surgery whether it`s for their annual checkup or more serious an opertion as Grant & all the staff spoil them.
I can not express enough how much they do for me & my dogs & would be lost if Grant ever left he`s a true star.
A big thankyou to everyone at Medivet.

Last year one of our cats was mauled by a dog, had a nasty infection and refused to eat. I think some practices would have given up as at one point the situation was critical. However the doggedness of Grant and his team ensured that Hugo (cat) made a full recovery and for that we are grateful
More recently another of our cats developed liver cancer so we were aware that at some point Harry would no longer be with us. When the time came Grant acted with a lovely balance of sympathy and professionalism - you do get the impression that all the staff there actually care about the animals and that it is not just a business

Barney my dog had an infected bone in one of his paws and has been in and out of the vets quite a a lot. They have poked and prodded ,operated and done all sorts of things to him. The staff make him so welcome and he never pulls away but runs up to meet them when he needs treatment or check ups. I think that shows how well they care for the animals they treat.

We have used Grant, and his team, exclusively since we 'discovered' him.
Until last year, we had a cat who would charitably described as 'difficult', and perhaps more accurately 'a raging psychopath whenever near a vet'
Despite frustration, scratches and out and out bloody mindedness from him (the cat, not Grant), they nursed him through the usual vaccinations and treatments, and showed incredible dedication when he was extremely ill with something that we never really got to the bottom of.
Sadly (at least for us) the cat passed away about a year ago, but Grant and the team continue to care for for our remaining cats with the same absolute dedication.
We really will be very distressed should he ever decide to go 'home'
