Me and my partner chose Unicorn Vets because of their excellent reviews on this site, and we really weren't disappointed. The staff are all very friendly, knowledgeable and actually care about the animals they treat. Always willing to give great advise and do what's right for the animals. Probably not as cheap as a larger chain, but not by much, and that extra makes all the difference.

I have used Fairfield vets since it opened. They are very good and always do everything possible. The staff are all kind and I have never felt rushed even though they are usually busy. I mainly see Douglas and Sarah (vets) and think they are excellent, normal people who explain things clearly and honestly!
I won't take my two dogs and mad cat anywhere else.

I have been with unicorn for at least 8 years and can't recommend these guys enough. The support and care I have had for my ridgebacks is outstanding. Last year when my beloved Ruby fell ill with lymphoma, they offered so much support and advice, unfortunately we caught it all too late and she passed in her sleep. They even offered to bring the ashes home for me as they knew how upset I was, and again this year when one of my other dogs had a few lumps, Douglas was very good and had her in within 2 days to have them removed only to end up removing more, keeping in touch with me to check to see all was well, even though I had to return twice after as it was in one of those places that is within chewing reach even with the flower pot on, but eventually we found a way to avoid repeat visits to be re-opened and stitched again. They are a very caring, friendly practice, and very professional and they are very quick to help in all matters, even when I came in with a poorly squirrel, they were quick enough to help. I recommend to all my customers the quality and care of unicorn vets

I have had all of my pets(cats and dogs) registered at Unicorn Vets - Fairfield Practise for approx 8 years. I have always found the staff to be helpful, thoughtful and extremely caring to both myself and all of my pets. Recently my 5yr old Lab/Retriever was diagnosed with an aggressive incurable cancerous tumour, the vet in charge of Billy's care,Douglas, was so sympathetic and showed such empathy towards the family as we came to terms with the diagnosis. We were only expecting to have a couple more weeks with Billy, but, with Doug's continuing care and support, which included phonecalls from him, just to see how Billy was doing,we had 4 months before we had to make the inevitable decision that it was time to let Billy go....Doug and the team also dealt this in such a caring way, they came to the house which was so much less distressing for not only us but Billy too.
The whole staff team at the Fairfield Surgery, from the receptionists upwards are extremely professional and helpful, when you walk in the door you feel like they know exactly who you are and care about what happens to you and your pet whilst you are there. I would not hesitate to recommend The Fairfield Surgery and all the staff team for all your pet needs.

We are often very quick to complain when we don't get good service and often slow with the compliments for good work
I wish to compliment this practice and in particular a vet
My cat had been with a the Unicorn Vets, Fair Oak, Hampshire practice for about 16 years, I was happy with the service and even stayed with the practice when I moved out of area. I don't like to be rushed when I take my pet to be seen and I want them to be thoroughly checked over, not a quick look at the sore bit! Thats what we got at this practice
Taz was over 19 and in deteriorating health and over the past few weeks we have seen the same vet Heidi Heath at the practice and have particularity pleased with her manner both with us as owners but also with the cat.
Today we made the difficult decision to have him put to sleep, and chose to have the vet come to our home. Whilst in the practice this morning all of the staff were caring, sensitive and supportive.
Heidi came out this evening after work, I have to say she made a very difficult situation easy for all. She did not rush, was sensitive and caring - just what we needed. She has a remarkable empathy and manner that is reassuring, whilst not shirking the difficult role. She spoke to my cat the whole time and talked us through the whole process she provided and excellent service.
With various pets over the years, I know a good vet and good service when I get it .. Heidi is an excellent practitioner. I believe she has only been in practice for year and I wanted to take the time out to give positive feedback and reccomened this practice. Thank you
