I went to Medivet (Cross st), and I took my French Bulldog Ernie to find out what was wrong.
From the time I entered the practice, I was very impressed with the front-line staff and David (the Vet) was very re-assuring with regards to my dog's condition,He explained everything thoroughly and gave me options of different treatments.
I have no hesitation in recommending Medivet (Cross st), and David is an excellent vet.
I thank all of them for the treatment they are affording my dog "Ernie", so far.

I would just like to thank you and your team for the amazing job that you did with Archie on Wednesday. Archie was attacked when he was younger and the experience that both he and our family went through was dreadful as we nearly lost him and ever since then he has been a nightmare when going to the vets. Other vets have given him sedatives to have before seeing them and then wedged him a door to inject him to knock him out.
My husband was so impressed on how you took the time to get to know him, play with him, make him trust you and then give him an injection without him even knowing. We can`t thank
you enough as finally we have found someone who truly cares for animals. If there were a rating we would give you 10/10 and we will be recommending to all our friends and family.
Once again thank you

I adopted my Shap (cat ) when he was one year old. Didn't have any previous experience with cats at all. The vet David Rubiera Conesa answered all my questions and advised me on basics. I gave 4 stars for value just because I believe it is very expensive even for the simplest service.....but it is everywhere like this ,I guess. Professionalism 4 stars just because we came back with a infected minor wound and I was not explained that it would happen on regular basis if my cat is a fighter! But we were seen by another specialist then. Anyway..if I have some concerns I would give them a call and a receptionist is very knowledgeable too.......Make the story short -I TRUST THEM. love

Our cat is a feisty tortoishell from a refuge who HATES anything to do with being at the vets. Today we took her for her vaccination booster and anti flea and worm medication, both of which usually send her crackers. The woman vet who saw her did her annual health check and the medication and the cat hardly noticed a thing! A first! I am most impressed (and grateful).

David R. C. is an amazingly compassionate and dedicated young man with a real "feel" for not only the animals in his care but also their worried owners. At a particularly stressful time with my quickly deteriorating 14 year old cat, Lulu, much loved, and the sweetest cat ever! he was quite honest and frank, but did what he could. I had just completed a very traumatic move, and Lulu reacted very badly: a pre-existing condition flared up, and try as we might, there was no saving her. His genuine compassion during this heartbreaking time will forever be remembered and appreciated. Then, soon after, Lulu's brother, Tom Kitten, started to lose weight SO quickly. I thought I was going lose him as well. David quickly recognised the problem, verified by expensive tests (this is NOT a criticism...these tests ARE expensive...and the practice has defined costs for certain procedures).
David prescribed a certain diet, gave Tom an anti-inflammatory medicine, easy to administer, and Tom Kitten, a month later is a DIFFERENT cat. Another blood test (expensive, but necessary to ensure that the treatment was working and didn't mask other problems) ensued and we took him home - hoping for a positive call from David tomorrow.
I also SO appreciated David's ringing me up after Tom's initial tests and asking me to come to the surgery for a consultation...NO CHARGE...during which he explained the several ways we could treat Tom's problems.
This vet is everything an owner of an animal hopes for...he is a true "mensch" who also possesses a rather delicious sense of humour...never inappropriate, always there when things are "looking up"!
I'm a happy bunny!

I have had my cat since I was 6 years old and she is now 22. Lila can be temperamental at times and does not like to be touch by strangers, she also never liked going out so taking her to the vets is a nightmare but David (the vet) is really gentle with her and to my surprise has managed to handle Lila with little effort and been able to treat her quickly and with a little stress to her as possible.
Alice who is the Patient Care Assistant is always extremely friendly and goes above and beyond to help.
Lauren (Head Veterinary Nurse) is also friendly and knowledgeable.
Looking back at my experience I would definitely recommend this surgery.
I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone at Medivet Islington

A few months ago my twelve year old German Shepherd was under the weather so we took her to our vet. We didn't realise it had been rebranded so was a little apprehensive. As so as we met the vet David all our concerns were gone. He was very through in examining elkies teeth and informed us that she needed quite another of her teeth removed. From the first consultation to the post care we felt that she was in the best possible hands. All staff are extremely professional and approachable. Would recommend this vet.

I rang this vets today in an emergency as my sister had found a badly injured cat. She had her dog with her and couldn't lift the poor animal. I called this vets offering to pay for their help as the RSPCA were taking a while to get to her due to a high workload. The vets firstly said to bring the cat in to them and they would do what they could to alleviate the animals distress . They then tried calling me back - they rang five times!!! to say they would come out and help . The RSPCA arrived within 15 minutes of my call and so did the poor cat owner so it wasn't necessary to take them up on the offer. BUT what more can you ask for from a vets practice - people who genuinely care for animals - I was so touched and impressed I had to take time to write a review. I have also recommended that my sister and her friend now take their pets to this surgery . Kind regards Debbie

My dog is petrified of vets. Its hard to understand why a normally docile soppy mutt turns into a aggressive monster as she walks through the consulting room doors. David is the only vet that we have met who remains calm and gentle with her despite her hostility. other vets have appeared terrified and we have felt as owners that they are somehow implying bad parenting! David however has always been kind and reassuring and understanding and whilst this hasnt stopped her from behaving badly, it makes us feel so much better and the trip to the vet slightly less traumatic all round.
