When we take our cat Treacle to the vets the staff are always friendly and helpful. They gave me lots of information on the best way to care for Treacle without asking for it which I thought was nice.

This practice is good. All the staff really care about your pet. From the girls on the front desk right through to the vet they all show very good proffesionalism.
My one concern is the price of anciliries. My dog is diabetic and needs 2 injections a day using 40ul 1ml syringes. Your surgery sells a box of 100, which lasts us 50 days, for about £40 (i cant remember the exact figure) but i have found somewhere that can supply them (delivered to my home address via courier) for £12.54 inc vat per box of 100, and they are exactly the same needles as they are in exactly the same box. I feel you (not the practice but the company vets4pets) are preying on people with animals with longterm illnesses as you know owners will pay this due to thier little ones needing it and its disgusting.

We have a wonderful greyhound called Sam and have been with this practice for about 3 years. The practice was recommended to us by a friend, when we became dissatisfied with the one we were attending. We could not be happier and have recommended the practice to many of our friends, who are now also extremely pleased with the service. From the time you ring to make an appointment to the time you see the vet or nurse, you could not be in better hands. Well done to everyone at Vets4Pets Gosport.

I was charged £44.70 to have my dog's anal gland squeezed and be told that it may be of benefit to feed him natural yoghurt and oatmeal. This is daylight robbery. My garage charges me £45 an hour which is also outrageous but pales into insignificance when I have to pay that for visiting the vet for 10 minutes.
Most people can't afford to pay these prices and so hesitant into taking their pets to the vet when it is poorly. Pensioners and people on low incomes cant afford to pay these prices.
Sorry that you were not satisfied with the charges for the services which were provided. On the day of your consultation the veterinary surgeon advised you of the consultation fee and also for the £12.70 fee for anal gland expression as this is not included in the consultation. At the time of booking the appointment, you were unaware of what the problem was which prompted us to book you in with the vet so that the problem could be correctly diagnosed.
Our fees are in line with industry standards and we are accredited by the RCVS. We do understand that having a pet is expensive, especially if something goes wrong. In this circumstance and as a gesture of good will we have refunded the anal gland expression fee and advised that if you need to book for the same problem again to ask for a nurse appointment for anal gland expression which is just £12.70.

We took our beloved cat to be put down this morning. Having never done this before myself and my children were very anxious and upset. From the moment we walked in we were treated with care and compassion by all staff. Mari explained to us exactly what the procedure would entail and what to expect. The whole experience, although sad, was very dignified. We were able to take home some clippings of his fur and paw prints. I can say they made a very hard decision and experience much more bearable and I can't thank them enough. My dog is registered here too and on the occasions I have taken her the staff have always been friendly, efficient and interact with the animals and owners alike. I'll certainly be sticking with them. Thank you all again .

Mandy and her team are understanding and supporting. Today a sad decision needed to be made and Mandy supported me through it. I felt that Danni was left in the best of care and that she would have been very spoilt for her last moments. Thank you Mandy

We would like you to pass this review onto Mari Makko & her manager at Clinic 1155 at Gosport.
Unfortunately, our beloved 14 year old cat, Smartie, was put to sleep yesterday after a short but terminal illness. He was very precious to us & our family, so consequently we are missing him terribly already. However this was made easier for us by the care & excellent 'bedside' manner that Mari showed to us & Smartie. Although Mari had only met him once before, she talked to him & stroked him like he was special. We also felt looked after & thoroughly informed on Smartie's situation. At no point did we feel pressurised & rushed into making a decision that we were not ready to make. We have already told many friends & family about the excellent & special care that we & Smartie were given. We thank Mari from the bottom of our hearts for the support & care she gave us at a very difficult, stressful & upsetting time. Thank you.
