“Excellent service well done u made us feel totally at ease!!!”

We had to book an emergency appointment for one of our two border collies on Tuesday evening as she couldn't walk for the previous 2 days. We took her totally expecting her to have to be put to sleep. We were totally devastated on the journey from Preston....I was in tears for the entire journey. When we arrived the receptionist & the vet were both in the waiting room waiting for us. Kelly had to be carried in as she couldn't weight bear on her back legs. We really did fear the worst. The receptionist was absolutely brilliant & very sympathetic towards my obvious distress. The vet immediately took us through to his room to examine her...and we were still convinced that she wouldn't be returning home with us that evening. After examining her he said he thought it was arthritis & gave her an injection for the pain & gave us another two weeks course of anti inflammatory painkillers for her to take. The vet was BRILLIANT & explained everything to us as he was going along. The kindness & compassion that was shown to myself, my husband & obviously Kelly showed that they really really cared about our dog. Thank you so much for all the kindness you showed to us that evening. I would thoroughly recommend this practice to anyone I know

“lovely staff”

Been to lytham surgery twice now with my puppy, staff extremely friendly and welcoming to both myself and especially to my springer daisy. They were happy to answer any questions and explained everything clearly. We didn't feel rushed or pressured into anything and despite the needles was a nice experience!!

“Very High Cost”

I have no question that they are very lovely however we took our little 16 year old cat to be put to sleep at Lytham St Annes Practice. After reading on the internet how much it would cost it averaged betwen £35 to £50 if you took your animal home so no cremation costs etc.
We took her home but the bill was astronomical £95.00 all she had was the injection to put her to sleep. I seriously suggest you shop around

Thank you for your feedback, we take all comments seriously as it helps us to bring an even better service to our clients. Looking at other fees on the internet is something many pet owners do, and there is nothing wrong in that. However what is quoted does not always give you the full picture. We appreciate how difficult putting your pet to sleep is, so we always ensure that we give you as much time as is required, as we understand how sad it is for the owners, therefore our focus will always be on providing the best service we can at this sad time. Unfortunately not all practices on the internet are transparent in their advertised fees. We can only assume that the prices stated online in your case, do not include a consultation price, consumables or equipment needed to perform this sad procedure. We pride ourselves on being fully transparent with our prices and we ensure that all fees are agreed with the owner prior to euthanasia by asking for written consent to the cost and procedure. Rest assured, we have contacted the client directly in response to concerns raised.

“Smiles galore!”

Both me and our dog Starki love visiting our friends at the vets. Everyone is always smiling and happy to see us even if it's just for a quick cuddle and treat for Starki. None of the staff ever look like they are ever having a bad day. The atmosphere is always happy and welcoming. I was worried Starki wasn't going to be as keen to visit the practice after his `man` op but he is still as eager as ever to go and say hello. We would recommend this practice to all :)
