“Absolutely shocked ”

Booked my kitten in to have her spayed, boosters and jabs, we went with the Best Start for Life Package which is the worming, boosters and a 10% on neutering plus others
The procedure went well and come to payment time and I have picked my kitten up in my uniform and asked for military discount to be told that because I have already been invoiced that I will have to speak to the nurse
So I do and the nurse 'Rebecca' goes off behind a door and ask a senior member of staff 'Karen' who is one of the partners and comes back and said its already been discounted 10% (because of a package I PAID for 'Best Start in Life' which is available to anyone that walks in the door) even though 'Vets 4 Pets' offers military discount they have refused to give it to a serving member of the British Army because I had already PAID for a package that came with discount on another treatment, Karen then came out one I stated to the receptionist that I won't be back and offered to 'Clear anything up if I have a problem' I replied with 'I think your the ones with a problem'
I not begging for money off (it was only £5.10) any discount I get I put in my children's pot, Help for Heros or the ABF. Military discount is suppose to show a little appreciation for the Armed Forces and show that a company will go a little bit further for serving members and sacrifice a few quid to say thank you like a few collegues/friends of mine have have made sacrifices but it was more than a few pounds they gave there lives for there country and every one living and working in Great Britain and for a comapany to say they do then refuse to apply it because of something I have already PAID for discounted this treatment is disgusting
Ironic really I lost my right little finger in Afghanistan in 2013 serving our Great Britian and I take it that was my 10% I got back today.
I will not be back and I shall spread the word on this.
Thank you James&Karen for doing a professional and caring job on my cat but that is us parting ways

Dear Patrick,

We are sorry to hear of your disappointment during your recent visit to our surgery. James and Karen have elected to offer a military and emergency services discount at the practice. This is a voluntary gesture.

As a business we cannot support an additional discount on a discount for a service. Further discounts on services would create a significant loss to the business.

The 10% neutering discount is an additional free perk and no payment is taken for this at the time of taking out a Best Start In Life package. In addition, neutering procedures are already subsidised at the practice prior to the Best Start In Life discount.

In addition, the Best Start In Life package is normally £85, however we offer it for £55 in order to assist owners in compliance of preventative care for their new pets.

We hope that our clients understand that the discount is a voluntary discretion undertaken by the practice owners as a gesture of goodwill to our military and emergency services and we honour it completely on all products and services which have not already incurred a discount.

James and Karen would further appreciate the opportunity to discuss this with you in person or by phone in order to clear up the misunderstanding.

“Nowhere Better”

I have never been one to write reviews, but I feel the need to spread the word about this practice.

I have only just moved to Grantham, and where I used to live had a VetsforPets too, but it wasn't a patch on this practice!

I have brought my pets to this practice for 6 months now, and no matter which animal it is, from my new little kitten to my year old rats, the vets treat them with an equal amount of respect and attention. I am never made to feel silly for asking lots of questions and the vets themselves are always more than friendly.

No pet enjoys going to the vets, but the Grantham Practice always make it as painless as they possibly can. I am always treated like a valued customer and I know that my pets have always received the utmost care and attention when they visit.

Cannot sing their praises more. All staff are a pleasure to deal with and as always, I would recommend the practice to anyone with an animal that they cherish.

“I can not recommend the Grantham Practice Enough.... ”

I was very reticent taking my cats to a franchised vets practice HOWEVER, I was pleasantly surprised.
They all show they care, all the vets take time to explain everything in detail if required, I never feel rushed or that they are only after financial gain. This is a fantastic vets team from the receptionists, nurses and vets which I can not recommend enough.
All the staff take time for each patient, Extremely impressed.

“Excellent care always very helpful & most of all friendly”

Can't reccomend James & his team enough! Very friendly lovely warm welcome by the ladies at the reception & always very helpful not only to me but my cocker spaniel buster gets a good fuss from the ladies which he never turns down! James knows his stuff new what the problem was straight away. Had his op for entropian within 3 days was very well looked after great after care, had no infection has healed beautifully. Can't thank james enough for his fantastic skill on preserving busters looks & everything he's done so big thankyou. Was with another vets yrs ago for a pet who died & can honestly say never had this kind of great service james & his team offer they are not only helpful but there also interested in getting to know you & your pet can't fault them at all keep up your fantastic work!

“Very poorly bulldog.”

Our Bulldog Libby was suddenly taken very ill on Tuesday morning,we took her to the surgery and she was found to have pyometra.She was taken in and operated on straightaway by James who saved her life.We are reasonably new to the practice and cannot speak highly enough of their prompt and very caring responce.Our thanks go to James, his wife and all the staff involved.

“Extremely happy”

Very professional and friendly surgery with staff that really are helpful and happy to talk things through. Would recommend highly
