The Mewes was recommended to me by a fellow dog owner when I moved into the area. My fabulous boxer dog has a myriad of health issues that need constant attention. Julia and her team have proved to be the 'Mary Poppins' of vets. Nothing is ever too much trouble and their caring yet professional attention to my dog means that she's treated effectively and swiftly ensuring that she maintains an excellent quality of life (she's 11!). I have no hesitation in recommending The Mewes Veterinary Clinic to anyone.

I can't begin to tell explain how lovely the mews are. They helped our cat smurf as much as they could and they were so professional but also very sensitive towards us. I would never take my animals anywhere else x

I can not thank The Mewes enough after the last month or so. After coming home from work to find my cat lying on the patio floor unable to move I rushed her to The Mewes, just as they were closing for the night, and they confirmed my fears that she had been hit by a car. They made her comfortable and arranged for the animal hospital to take her for the night and look after her. Kizzy then returned to The Mewes the next day where they gave me all the options, cost impacts (not insured) surgery, timelines etc and were just fantastic. Kizzy was then operated on by The Mewes with amazing aftercare and she's now getting back to her normal self and jumping around the lounge. No one would think she had a fractured pelvis and dislocated leg 4 weeks ago! Thank you again! See you soon for her follow up appointment in a months time :)

I came in with my kitten Merv for a microchip and castration on monday. I just wanted to thank everyone at the Mews for the great care that Merv recieved. I felt completely reassured by your staff before and during the procedure. Also as I was a bit apprehensive about the whole thing it was great to receive a courtesy call from a very friendly nurse to tell me how it all went and she really put my mind at ease. Im so glad that I chose the Mews and will definitely recommend it to other pet owners I no.Thanks again.Keep up the great work!!

My Chinchilla Dusty was very unwell he couldn't eat and was dangerously underweight,& in severe pain.
After a consultation at Mewes it was discovered his teeth were severely overgrown & deformed. Julia took Dusty in first thing the next day for a Dental operation she was polite, informative & very kind as was Sarah about Dusty's treatment, the risks & his follow up treatment.
Thanks to the wonderful staff Dusty is now a great lover of food has gained 110 Grams so far In weight, has more energy & is a very happy Chinchilla. We consider ourselves very lucky to still have him & it's all thanks to the hard work of Mewes.
I Cannot praise enough the amount of love & dedication that was given to Dusty & saving his life. I will be eternally grateful & will always recommend the clinic to friends.

My cat, Squeaker, went missing 4 months ago and despite continued searching through that time I had not found hide nor hair of him. On the first day of my one holiday this year, which luckily was in North Yorkshire and not abroad, Squeaker was found by a family in Haywards Heath.
Through the help of the cattery, where he would have stayed, Squeaker made it to the Mewes in an awful state. All 4 of his paws had been burnt by a chemical and he had maggots on them. He had lost half his bodyweight, was anaemic and dehydrated and by all accounts had given up on life. Luckily for both of us the Mewes did not give up on him.
Constant attention, including one of the Nurses who came to work early every day just to sit and cuddle him and a vet who worked long after her shift had finished (these are the two I know about but from what I have been told every single member of staff went above and beyond with him) meant that he pulled through and by the time I made it home to him there was a much better chance of survival.
A week on and he is slowly getting better and when we went for a check-up yesterday I could see how much he loved and trusted the staff there.
The Mewes worked a miracle for Squeaker and gave him not just the medical attention but the cuddles and love which pulled him back from the brink. As one nurse said to me "I would hope that if this was my cat somebody would be out there doing the same for him".
I can't thank you enough.

Our family have used The Mewes Veterinary Clinic for about 18 years both for regular check ups and emergencies during this period. The animals that we have taken to them have been 4 dogs, both small & large, 3 cats and 2 guinea pigs. All these animals have received excellent professional attention delivered in a friendly caring manner. Any operations that were needed were explained in advance and carried out successfully. We thoroughly recommend this practice.

Our Jack Russell has suffered with a bad front paw for 3 years. After years of vet visits coming to no conclusion, her toe was amputated. It was found to have a fungi infection after being sent for diagnosis.
We moved to HH a year ago and the fungi set back in.
Mews have gone out their way to try every form of medicine, wash etc available.
Finally after much research from the vets outside of my visits to their surgery they asked us to try a unusual form of medication.
60 days later our little dog is happier and seems to be suffering no pain or discomfort in the foot.
Hopefully the infection is cured
Thanks to Julia and her team for their work and the extra research that they did.
