My dear old greyhound hated going to the vet but the vets and the staff have restored her faith - and ours too.
Very happy to recommend this practice to anyone as the care is the best we have ever found.

We have visited City Road Vets three times while on holiday and have been very impressed.
The staff are all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. David Leedham gave us all the time we needed, was very gentle handling our dog and provided excellent treatment and advice. He explained carefully what the problem was and how we should apply the treatment.
Thank you very much everyone, you are a great veterinary practice.

Our dog is 11 this year, she can be very nervous/excitable but she is totally relaxed with Mr Purves (reckon she loves him! She does anything for him). I know the practice will resolve any problems she has & feel very confident with everything they do. All the staff are so helpful. I cannot thank them enough for keeping our girl so healthy & happy.

We can recommend City Road Vets unreservedly.
If you're new to the area then pop in and see for yourself.
We've been using them for 16 years and have always been well looked after.
Quality care and a pleasant environment.

I have been seeing Mr Leedham since I was a pup. I have spent quite a lot of time in the consulting room over recent years due to multiple health problems! However, I have such respect for Mr Leedham as I know he always does best by me! I consider all the ladies on reception and nurses as my friends, I love to see their smiling faces and have a quick cuddle!
Mr Leedham has always made me better, I have caused him a lot of hurdles to overcome along with a lot of surprises as I never do anything classed as the 'norm' !
All the staff have such patience with us as my owner worries very much, They always show her kindness, understanding along with time and empathy! ( she even wants us to move in there! ) I must admit I am not that keen on that idea. I prefer to just visit them all ( you can have too much of a good thing! ).
Anyway, the best part of all is a smile and a treat! I know I am in good hands and that what ever decision will be made with regards to my failing health will be in the best interest for me!
You are the BEST!
Thank you all for being so lovely!

Have taken both cats recently and all staff encountered have been friendly and professional.
No unhappy animals, both well taken care of.
Love the extra mile staff go to to ensure pets and owners are happy with services.
Post-op phone call at work was a lovely touch :)

We brought Sasha here on recommendation for a skin disorder and found the staff and Mr Tai really helpful and friendly . I feel confident after Mr Tai's diagnosis that we can get to grips with my dog's problem. We took about an hour to get here but it was well worth it, and it is the first time ever that we have been offered a lovely cup of tea by any veterinary practice Thanks to everyone at City Vet's as Arnie says,"I'll be back!"

We moved to Truro 3 years ago and immediately registered our 3 cats at City road vets.It proved to be a great move when recently,Frankie one of our Maine coons, suffered a burst stomach ulcer and was gravely ill.Simon Tai operated on Frankie after a quick diagnosis and saved his life. Frankie remained in care for a couple of weeks and the aftercare from Simon and all the staff was exemplary.
You treat our cats as part of the family and its very reassuring to know that City road vets are there to care for them.
Thankyou once again Simon and staff.

I have been going to City Road Vets with my 2 dogs and one cat for several years now, and I am delighted with all aspects of care. My animals are always given a good examination when they go even if they are only coming in for routine vaccinations. I find this approach very reassuring. My older dog a Cavalier King Charles is so eager to attend that she will run into the vets waiting room without hesitation. The vets and nurses are so considerate. When my younger Cavalier needed an operation they let me stay with her while her pre-med was given and until she was sleepy, then a vet nurse gathered her gently in her arms, and I left leaving a very settled pet behind. I appreciated a phone call from the vet after surgery to say all had gone to plan. All staff communicate very well, so I know exactly what is happening. The nurses are particularly kind and knowledgeable and organise puppy club which is great fun for pets and owners. I would recommend City Road Veterinary Centre for the high standard of care and skill given at all times

In 25 years of owning cocker spaniels we have been fortunate to have had our much-loved pets looked after by some great vets. For the past 5 years, since moving to Cornwall, we have found the best of the best at CityRoad vets in Lewes. All the staff are great, but in Simon Tai we have discovered the most wonderful vet of all.
Our dogs, Minnie and Taffy, have been lucky to be tended by Simon; he cured Taffy's skin condition when other vets (in other practices) had failed, he cared for Minnie with great compassion in her last months, and he saved Taffy's life earlier this year when serious cancer was discovered following a seizure.
We visited Taffy after his operation, and actually witnessed a bed being delivered to the surgery so that Simon could stay overnight to tend for Taff (and your pets in the future!) We were staggered to see how far Mr Tai would go to in order to care for our pet, and will always be grateful for his care, skill and commitment. Taff is happy, and well, due entirely to Simon.
Thank you so much.
