After 30 plus years of excellent care it is a pleasure to say how much the City Road crew are valued. I have turned up on their doorstep with numerous cats, hamsters and assorted wildlife. The welcome has always been warm and caring.
One of my cats suffered from diabetes and owed his longevity to the care he received. During that time the vets were always supportive of my "I read on the internet ..." ideas and working together home testing for blood glucose levels became the norm. Oscar lived to a grand age of 18 not bad for a cat who was diabetic for ten years.
If you live in the Truro area and need a vet then City Road Veterinary is the place to go.

I would recommend City Road to anyone. The vets and all staff are wonderful, caring and honest. They always make you feel that your pet is special (and gorgeous!). Everything is explained well and you never feel anything would be done unnecessarily. Always an efficient service with a smile.

We have been using City Road Vets for 25 years, despite living near Helston. What we like the most, is the universal care & respect shown to humans & animals by this team. They have supported us through difficult times, celebrated successes & achievements & shown genuine affection to all our dogs. The surgical, medical & diagnostic skills are superb. We quite simply, would not dream of going anywhere else!

I am with City Road Vets now for as long as i can remember and take both my dogs and cat to them. They are all very caring and very friendly and do their uppermost to make sure our pets get healthy again no matter what size. I also think it is so touching that when it comes to the sad part of laying a animal to rest they send you a sympathy card which shows how much they care. I recommend them to anyone who listens.

Having been the 3rd owner to a 6 month old kitten called Tara, ourselves and the team at the surgory have worked endlessly to try and put all of Tara's ailments right - at less than a year old she had extensive surgery on her knees and hips to enable her proper movement. After that for 2 years she was fantastic, with stunted growth, she managed to have a great life at her own pace with what she was comfortable with. Unfortunately 2 years on and her Kidneys failed, such a sad sad loss of a great character and family member. But the team at City Road came riding in on their white horses to try and do anything and everything possible for her - right down to the final moments.
We are eternally grateful to all at the surgery and would without a shadow of a doubt recommend them to anyone that asks.
Thank you all xx

We moved to Cornwall 22+ years ago bringing our lovely Springer Cross with us and right from the start he sensed that he was 'at home' with the practice. He loved the care he received and we so appreciated the kindness shown when it came to the end of his time. It took us a long time to replace him but we now have our Jack Russell Cross who feels exactly the same and especially likes Mr Purves (I think he has a soft spot for terriers)She goes in to the surgery very happily and her only complaint is about having her temperature taken!! Many thanks for all the care shown by all the Team and keeping our dog so healthy

For more years than I care to remember we have taken our beloved pets to City Road Veterinary Centre. They have always been so professional and caring; nothing is ever too much trouble. When our last Samoyed, Celine, was very ill and we had to make the decision that most owners dread, they were so compassionate and told us to come in straight away, despite it not being opening hours. Everyone loved Celine, we still haven't been able to get another dog - yet. They care about what the owners are going through as well as the pets. We even got a Sympathy card which I have not heard of happening anywhere else.
Thank you to all the vets and nurses, past and present. I have recommended many people to bring their pets to you and will continue to do so.

Over many years and many beloved pets past and present,City Road Vets have always should great kindness, politeness and dedication. Jessie our Staffordshire Bull Terrier can't wait to get through the door and seems to just love all the staff,I think they love her too. I wouldn't want to take her to any other Vets and would therefore highly recommend them.

I have used City Road since we got our kittens nearly 6 years ago from Cats Protection. Their communication was fantastic and ever since with City Road Vets team, we have been well looked after whether its reminders for vaccinations and check ups, offers on multiple purchases for flea and worm treatment and if we've ever had a problem or concern they are always there for help and advice. The surgery and rooms are also very clean which is reassuring - I wish the GP surgeries were as thorough!. An outstanding service and team, thank you and keep up the good work!

My wife and myself have used City Road Vets for over 40 years. Firstly with our German Shepherds Dogs and laterly with our Persian Cats. All staff have been nothing other than professional, helpful and understanding ( when we sadly had to have our pets put to sleep.) I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them to any one having a pet.
I live in Redruth and am very happy to travel to Truro for the care provided, not just to me but more importantly to my animals.
I could go on at length but wish to keep this short. If you have a pet, use City Road Vets.

During the last 20 years City Road Vets have treated five of our dogs and our one cat with unparallelled professionalism and compassion. Two of our dogs in particular have needed extensive treatment. We have been helped through very complicated conditions and been shown the most sympathetic end of life care, and our feeling has always been that all staff at City Road will go way beyond what can reasonably be expected in order to help a sick animal and its worried owner. We are hugely grateful to them all.

This is the only surgery that I have taken our whippet, Naseem, to where I don't need to drag him through the door. He even barks when he see's one of the vets to make his presence known. Fantastic care and service, I even received a sympathy card when we had to bring in our very old cat for her last visit. I would highly recommend this veterinary surgery to anyone.

I have been using this practice for 16 years and have always had excellent service from the vets, nurses and receptionists. Whether it's the joy of taking a new puppy for its first visit, or the sorrow of taking a beloved dog for its last visit, the staff are kind, friendly and caring. Whenever I have to leave pets for treatment,I am confident that they are in safe hands and are well looked after. I never have to drag my dogs - claws scraping across the floor - into the surgery. One of my dogs was a frequent visitor and must have experienced some pain and discomfort over the years, but she always went in with wagging tail. As long as she got her 'sweetie' at the end, she was happy!

When looking to register your pets with a vet in Truro, one has a lot of choice. There are several veterinary surgeries in a small area. However, City Road Vets have something special to offer.
Don't take my word for it - go and see for yourself, or ask one of my two springer spaniels, who always happily jump out of the car when we visit.
Being very active dogs they have had their fair share of treatments over the last few years, but the love and attention they have recieved has made them very relaxed about their experience and the quality of their treatment of the highest standard.
For me, City Road is simply the best Veterinary centre in town.

friendly, caring and good vets; friendly and very helpful nurses; nice receptionists; cracking care over many years for my cats.
There are nearer vets to where I live but I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
Just wish Sparky and I didn't have to see them so much!
