“Perfect care”

We moved to Truro 3 years ago and immediately registered our 3 cats at City road vets.It proved to be a great move when recently,Frankie one of our Maine coons, suffered a burst stomach ulcer and was gravely ill.Simon Tai operated on Frankie after a quick diagnosis and saved his life. Frankie remained in care for a couple of weeks and the aftercare from Simon and all the staff was exemplary.
You treat our cats as part of the family and its very reassuring to know that City road vets are there to care for them.
Thankyou once again Simon and staff.

“Excellent Care”

I have been going to City Road Vets with my 2 dogs and one cat for several years now, and I am delighted with all aspects of care. My animals are always given a good examination when they go even if they are only coming in for routine vaccinations. I find this approach very reassuring. My older dog a Cavalier King Charles is so eager to attend that she will run into the vets waiting room without hesitation. The vets and nurses are so considerate. When my younger Cavalier needed an operation they let me stay with her while her pre-med was given and until she was sleepy, then a vet nurse gathered her gently in her arms, and I left leaving a very settled pet behind. I appreciated a phone call from the vet after surgery to say all had gone to plan. All staff communicate very well, so I know exactly what is happening. The nurses are particularly kind and knowledgeable and organise puppy club which is great fun for pets and owners. I would recommend City Road Veterinary Centre for the high standard of care and skill given at all times

“You will never find a better vet!”

In 25 years of owning cocker spaniels we have been fortunate to have had our much-loved pets looked after by some great vets. For the past 5 years, since moving to Cornwall, we have found the best of the best at CityRoad vets in Lewes. All the staff are great, but in Simon Tai we have discovered the most wonderful vet of all.
Our dogs, Minnie and Taffy, have been lucky to be tended by Simon; he cured Taffy's skin condition when other vets (in other practices) had failed, he cared for Minnie with great compassion in her last months, and he saved Taffy's life earlier this year when serious cancer was discovered following a seizure.
We visited Taffy after his operation, and actually witnessed a bed being delivered to the surgery so that Simon could stay overnight to tend for Taff (and your pets in the future!) We were staggered to see how far Mr Tai would go to in order to care for our pet, and will always be grateful for his care, skill and commitment. Taff is happy, and well, due entirely to Simon.
Thank you so much.

“Thank you”

A massive thankyou to the dedicated and professional vets, and all the staff at City Road for the way they have taken care of my beloved collie 'Tipsy' for the last fifteen years through many visits and traumas, without whom she would not have enjoyed such a long healthy and active life, Also for the kindess and sympathy through her last moments. Again, thank you all so much. Yours, Trevor Gill

“New puppy”

I got my new puppy in September and registered with City Vets in Truro. I had heard good reports from friends so decided to go with them.
What a delightful team, from the receptionists, nurses and the vets themselves. We joined the puppy plan which is excellent value, with monthly checkups and treatments for our new puppy. The puppy parties were also great fun for us and even more so for our Old English Sheepdog puppy Daisy.
She did have an issue with a sore throat at nine weeks old and vet Simon Tai was very matter of fact and lovely with her. Very worrying for new puppy parents and great relief when it was a simple thing to be relieved.
Yes I would certainly recommend them to anyone, and am glad to write this testimonial.

“Exemplary Professional Care”

City Road Vets are the BEST Veterinary practice we have ever been to. They take care of our 2 Papillons and have done so for the past 4 years. As soon as you walk through the door it's very reassuringly, hygienically clean. A friendly receptionist always greets you and nothing is ever too much trouble. The Vets themselves are extremely professional, very caring and very, very knowledgeable. One of our Papillons was brought in this week and diagnosed with having a slipped disc. Mr Simon Tai took great great care of Max as he is a very highly strung dog. He needed an injection and Mr Tai selected the smallest needle and Max didn't even squirm. There is always ultimate respect for the animals in their care and likewise their owners. It really is like seeing a Hospital Consultant. I can only highly recommend them as they really are a wonderful practice.

“Excellence”

I have used many Vets over the years in Berkshire and now in Cornwall, City Road Vets are the very best that I have come across. I could not praise them highly enough on every aspect. You are made to feel welcome and comfortable the moment you walk through the door. The receptionists, veterinary nurses and especially the vets are so professional in every way. I was recommended to City Road and I would never hesitate to pass your recommendation onto anyone else in the future.

“Outstanding vets.”

City Road vets continue to provide my spaniels Moxie and Murphy with excellent care. Their professionalism is second to none, right from the moment you walk through through the door and are greeted by well trained and caring reception staff, to the vets and veterinary nurses who really care for the animals who are in their care.
Should your pet need to be admitted you can be sure that they will get excellent, first class treatment in a spotless environment along with lots of cuddles and attention. You can even request a photo to be emailed to you as they are recovering, as well as a phone call to reassure the owners.
City Road are not the closest vets to my home by far, but it is worth going the extra miles for quality care.

“Rosetta”

My family and our cats and now a terrier have been looked after by City Road Road Vets for 25 years.

I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. Rosie my Patterdale terrier loves it there and would happily run away from home and move in with them.
