I visited the Romford Branch today 4/11/15 with my dog Harvey who was 11 years old. He had been unwell for the last week and I knew in my heart it was time to let go of him. When I rung the receptionist and explained the situation I was given an appointment immediately. The young vet who's name I can't remember ( he had red hair and glasses ) asked me all information, after a long discussion it was decided that euthanasia was the best option and not to prolong my dogs life. The procedure he carried out and kind words he said made this very sad event more tolerable. This young man stands very highly in my thoughts from the actions and words he passed to me during this time. THANK YOU.

After visiting a terrible vets previously for an emergency, we went back to companion care as unfortunate we thought our dog had to be put asleep. The vet was very caring, understanding, he listened to us and even explained things. The previous vet was no help to us at all. I cannot thank the gentleman enough for his help today (tall and strawberry blonde / red hair and glasses - sorry can't remember the name). He is an asset to his career and company. It's vets like him that makebit worth while.
Can not fault this place.
Definitly go if you want quality service. Also always clean.

Have used the surgery for 10 years + and always been happy with how my pets have been treated. Especially when things have been bad they will fit you in to deal with emergencies... And with older dogs there have been many emergencies and moments of crisis...
Thanks for being there especially for my Cavalier Goldie who walked over rainbow bridge today... God bless her. And many many thanks for the years of care and kindness you have all shown towards her...

Very caring and highly professional surgery, helpful and knowledgeable staff, front desk go that extra mile. Always a nice experience every visit with reasonable rates for treatment. They are good at what they do and will always take the very best care of your animal.
Hope the nine years experience of being a customer assures the reader of the above critique being an honest appraisal.
My St Bernard Barnaby agrees too.

Travelled a long way for this appointment. Was treated with great courtesy and friendliness. Excellent information received from Alberto. Was every attentive and knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this to any one. I have a surgery opening near me in the very near future and will definitely be changing to them.

Unfriendly reception staff, expensive, booster and kennel cough vaccination £25 cheaper at another local vets
I am sorry you felt that one of the receptionist was not helpful as we discussed on the phone conversation. She was stressed because we were short of 2 vets due to train delays. This is the reason but I do not want this to sound as an excuse because it should not. Whatever happens in the practice the service should not be affected, anybody in the practice and specially receptionists have to be prepared to go the extra mile to help anybody and in this case she failed to deliver. As head vet of the practice I really appreciate your feedback to identify any specific mistakes we could have done. Measures have been taken to make sure it does not happen again. Client care is a very important part of our job and we take it very seriously. If you have any problems in the future please do not hesitate to call me and I will try to help you as much as possible. Regarding the cost, you agreed that the comparison not necessary it was like for like. I am glad after my call you want to carry on using our services and we can prove you that we provide a professional, high standard and friendly service.

I cannot recommend the vets at companion care enough, from the reception staff nurses and vets. Their opening hours are good including saturdays and sundays. When recommended to have my staffie put down because of illness by another practice they had the patience and expertise and care to get her back on feet and the old lady is now doing very well under their expert care
Always a positive experience with these vets

Not only can you trust the integrity, expertise and professionalism of the vets in this practice they do not forget that for every animal there is a hardworking and caring human who has walked in with their pet. A vetinary practice is after all a business. However, in these days where many business only think of themselves, this business maintains the human touch. This practice will not spend your hard earned money unnecessarily but will advise what is needed to get your pet well as efficiently as possible. We have unfortunately had to take our dogs to the vet for illnesses ranging from blocked anal glands through to a life threatening infection. The course of action has always been honest and appropriate.
