“Farewell Hacker”

Having not needed the service of a vet for some time I needed an urgent appointment as my elderly hamster had developed a large growth. I chose Companion Care as they seemed to be a large practice with good reviews, and I'm glad that I did. As I had feared, my hamster had to be put to sleep, which is never easy, but the vet couldn't have been kinder or more respectful to me or my hamster. While price isn't the main consideration at a time like that I felt that the price was reasonable and probably a little less than I expected.

They're open when I need them after work or on the weekend and always on hand for a bit of advice. Spot on!

I was first introduced to this practice through their free microchipping for dogs scheme and was slightly hesitant about going to a "big-name, chain" vets but I needn't have been - you really get the individual, personalised care you'd associate more with a privately run vets just with the value for money only larger companies can offer.

The reception staff recognise all my dogs by name if we stop by and show genuine caring and interest in how they're doing.

“Best Vet by far”

I can only comment on Robert White - Adams, who i first met when he worked in Bristol.
I have several cats who are all treated as part of the family, and spoiled like part of the family too.
I still live in Bristol, but i went to see Robert in Dec 2013 for a second opinion. My oldest cat had a growth in his lower jaw. My local vet had quoted a large amount of money for diagnostic tests. I wasn't wholly happy so i arranged an appointment with Robert, 30 miles from my home.
As you can imagine, travelling with a sick animal is bad enough when you are only a few miles from home, but i have always trusted Robert, and he was the only person I could depend on to treat us with respect.
Robert managed to give me 3 precious more weeks with my cat after removing his teeth so he was out of pain (which was most important) The tumour in his jaw would need to be removed and he would not have been able to eat afterwards for the rest of his life. So i would need to let him go peacefully. He saved me paying a huge amount of money having a diagnosis that would have the same outcome. Robert knew it was hard news, to know that my cat would have to be PTS in the near future, but he got my cat out of pain, my family over the Xmas period and i think nearly as sad as we were.
Those 3 extra weeks i had with my cat were treasured and he was thoroughly spoiled. I let him go gently to sleep on New Years day.
Although this practice is 30 miles awy, its the only vets I will use.

“Support through the hardest of decisions”

I had to make the decision to put one of my cats to sleep. She had been with us for many years and so this decision was a tough one. The vet at Companion Care really helped me through this difficult time by giving me all the information I needed and by not judging me. I highly recommend this practice, as they cater for the distraught owners as well as the sick pets. We all need support when our babies are ill.

“Excellent service, excellent staff!”

I've been with this practice for over 7 years and can honestly say, I can not fault them on any scale.

I have dogs, cats and pet rats, the vets and nurses are always lovely to them all, this of course was key to me when choosing our practice.

The staff are knowledgeable, polite and friendly. I feel comfortable to see any vet, as they're ALL great!

Sometimes I'm not always able to get childcare so have to take the tree kids in too...again, the team are all great and get the kids involved.

I've recommended this practice to several of my friends...and will continue to do so...more than worthy of its 5 stars!

“Couldn't fault”

This practice has helped three of my pets and they have always provided an excellent, caring service. They are always able to find time to discuss what is planned and will find appointments in an emergency to make sure care is provided as soon as possible. All of the staff are friendly and work in a caring professional way. Despite moving away from the practice I still travel to keep the same vet, a good vet you can trust is hard to find.
