One slightly nervy Labrador, with a poorly ear, treated gently and kindly, even went away with a wagging tail!

“Trinkets Visit”

I took Trinket to Penmellen, because I thought he had either a inbedded grass seed or a bite. He was very nervous, the vet was great with his, talked and comforted him. He then tended the wound and offered me 2 choices as to treatment. I did not want Trinket to go through any more so I opted for a antibiotic injection. This has worked well and he has recovered. Vet said to go back if I had any concerns.

“Totally Reliable.”

I have been happily using Penmellyn Vets for years, with various dogs, mainly for routine reasons, so it was obvious that I would continue to do so when I inherited my daughters 6 year old cat. Again it was the normal visits for check ups and vaccinations until it was discovered that Harry had a problem with his thyroid. The treatment received since then has been second to none. All the staff are so caring, in particular Liz Clift, who has mastered the art of dealing with a very contrary, nervous cat that doesn't like strangers! It is a pleasure to visit Penmellyn - very rarely kept waiting, always clean, always greeted with a smile and always spot on with whatever needs doing. My last visit was a routine one for vaccination but it was still performed with very little fuss. I would happily recommend this vet to anyone who cares for their pets, whatever they are.

“Review ”

Overall I think this vets is very good. Haven't been there a lot as thankfully we haven't needed to, but the times we have been the staff have been very pleasant the vets have been good. We have two animals registered here, our cat and our new puppy, and both times they have been very nice. We had a few problems with our cat when she was young but they dealt with it very well, I think it is quite expensive, but then again every vets is. So can't really complain about that. Long term treatment is quite expensive, and even if your going there for a check up sometimes it ends up costing triple what you planned to pay. But that said it's the same everywhere. Everyone is very friendly and always smiling and welcoming, and it's very easy to get an appointment as well.

“Our puppy”

Our puppy is 9 months old and we came to discuss a procedure. We received very clear and helpful advice so that we can make an informed decision.
At the same time we collected his wormer/tick and flea treatment; weighed him and bought him a new toy.
The premises are excellent and the team are great.
