I have a very old Staffy dog ( 14years), who recently tore the cruciate ligament on his leg. I was very worried about getting the procedure done due to his age. Roger and his team took the time with me, and my three children to show with models, what he had done to his leg and how they could repair it. After much consideration it was done. My dog is recovering so well. The procedure was carried out efficiently and the wound itself is very neat and tidy. They even shaved his leg with a very neat line! ..With all the staff you can tell they are passionate about their work and really love and look after your animals whilst in their care. I am so pleased I had this procedure carried out and hopefully my Old Aged Pet with have a few more happy and comfortable years ahead of him ,and for that I am eternally greatful to everyone at Baron Lodge.

We want to thank the team at Barton Lodge Vets Centre, particularly Holly and Amy for their diligence and perseverance as it took them over two and a half weeks to track us down through a maze of websites, after discovering Sylvie the cat had a French microchip.
Sylvie was one of a litter of three kittens we rescued in France, and brought back to London for re-homing in April this year.
We could not bear the idea that these beautiful, lively balls of fun would be drowned by a family who believe animals don't count (thus speaks a committed vegetarian!)
Below is the advertisement we put up for Sylvie in London, which produced nearly a hundred replies:
Six month old female kitten looking for a loving home
We rescued Sylvie in France from being drowned by a local farmer.
and brought her back to London a few weeks ago.
She is six months old, has her own passport, is microchipped, and fully vaccinated.
Sylvie is white with tabby ears and tail and soft as velvet.
She is still quite timid but when she trusts you she'll sit on your lap, purr, and let you stroke her.
Sylvie would probably prefer a quiet home loving home
We took the kittens to their new homes to double check on the owners - offering to have them back if they decided the kitten wasn't for them.
Last Friday, the 20th November 2015, we were amazed to receive a phone call from Holly saying that Sylvie had been handed in to Barton Lodge Vets Centre
which is so far away.
Although we will never know the full story : we gather that Sylvie had five kittens, and was then given away to a new home in Hemel Hempstead.
Clearly they didn't want her either.
Sylvie is still just as described in the ad, but is settling in with us back in London, and possibly remembers her early months here.
She certainly enjoys following her big ginger stepbrother Baby, or " The Dude" as he is known, around the house, but at some point we'll have to
decide whether to find her another permanent home, or keep her as part of the team, because soon we'll have to get back to France : the farmer's cat will be giving birth any day.

Thanks to all the staff for looking after my dog Max when he had his operation. The care and attention he received was brilliant. People often ask me why I go to Barton Lodge as they charge more than other vets but I tell them that I am perfectly satisfied and wouldn't change. The staff and vets are amazing!

All my animals have received excellent treatment from Barton Lodge the staff are excellent, friendly and helpful. The puppy classes that we recently attended were fun, full of good advice and useful information sheets. My puppy drags us in there if we are passing. Certainly would not hesitate in recommending them to anyone

I first came to Barton Lodge via my in laws, who used this practice with their first pup in approx 1960. I have had two dogs under their care since 1993 and they have always cared for my dogs and my concerns over these pets with true professional and genuine heartfelt care. It may not be the cheapest practice but you get what you pay for and I can't fault Barton Lodge. Lovely vets and nurses.

Ellie has been really poorly and Barton lodge know her well! It really shouldn't have taken me this long to post a review! The girls on the desk are lovely as are the nurses and the vets are so fantastic. I only have to open the door and they are all so pleased to see her, they all speak highly of her and I am so confident leaving her in their care when I have to. I have only seen mark once and he said what a nice dog she was while she was there. While I don't want to single people out especially I just cannot not mention Sonya as there are weeks when I speak to her more than my own family! Ellie especially thinks she's a very special person. Cathy has also been lovely and we are really appreciative of her help too (and incredibly sorry about today's missed appointment - and poorly
So I cannot speak highly enough of the practice. And we have seen mark and he was also great! Thank you all so much - ellie is part of our family and from the desk, to the nurses to the vets you all understand that. That's why I think you're fantastic x
