Our dog had an accident over a year ago which resulted in him needing a couple of surgeries. Even though he had a very unpleasant time at the surgery he is always happy to see James & the other staff (until he goes into a consulting room!)which says a lot about their care for him. Would happily recommend, they obviously really care about the animals they look after.

Our dog, Toby, was diagnosed with Canine Lymphoma at the age of 4 years old mid September 21014. James, Sophia and the whole team could not have been more understanding to our family. Toby was a much loved dog, and the news of him being so ill at such a young age devastated us all. Between James and Sophia, they offered the best advice, took good care of Toby and guided us all the way. Toby became very unwell in his last 2 weeks of life despite starting Chemo. Nothing was too much trouble for them, arranging emergency appointments.
When Toby passed away on the 15th October 2014 at home, quite suddenly, James was on hand to help us through the loss. He came out to the house when Toby had passed to collect our beloved pet. It wasn't just a rush in, collect and go. James sat with us all, and although shocked that Toby had passed to suddenly, he was prepared to sit, chat, and reassure us.
My cat is registered with James and I feel like I am always in safe hands. He's understanding, and gives you all the facts, and is quite clearly an animal lover himself.
Bottom line is, if you're looking for a veterinary surgery that cares as much about your pet as you do, then you cannot go wrong with James and the team at Companion Care Vets in Redhill.

I've always been happy with the care which my animals have received, at Companion Care Vets (3 cats, 1 dog, 2 rabbits, and 2 guinea pigs). The Vets and staff are always friendly and helpful.

We were sceptical using a surgery attached to a shop but we were very wrong to be!
The care our cats have received here has been outstanding, the staff are very friendly & helpful & pricing is very clear.
The staff seem to be there for the sake of the animals they care for rather than how much they can make from the animals, which has sadly been my experience with different practices.
Would not hesitate to recommend.

We have a couple of problems with our Gerbil, and the service, help, support and advice has been above and beyond expectations. Sarah has been so calming and supportive. We would always recommend this surgery. Just the best help and service in the area.

The staff are all very friendly and polite. My family have always gone to James as their vet and so when I got my own animals I did not want to go to another vet.He always looks after our animals and is very caring. I would thoroughly recommend James and his team.

I first went to James when he worked in another practice. When he said he was leaving that practice to lead his own veterinary practice with Companion Care, I asked if we could transfer the care of our 3 dogs to his new surgery . James looked after my old Golden Retriever who had arthritis and he helped him to live to nearly 16 due to his care and excellent knowledge of the condition. I feel the treatment my dogs get from Companion Care Redhill is kind, compassionate, honest and all the staff are very caring for both animal and owner starting from the reception staff right through to the consultation. You are never rushed into a decision and all treatment and costs are fully explained before a decision is made. I wouldn't take my animals anywhere else. Thank you James and all at Redhill.

I have been extremely impressed with Companion Care Redhill and would not go to any other vets. I regularly see James who is very honest and has the animals best interests at heart. My cat broke its hip bone and I was reluctant to go through all the tests at huge costs at the out of hours vet. Through telephone consultation with James, he advised that I took her to him immediately for consultation as he was so concerned. During the consultation he strongly advised that I had the injured leg x-rayed as he believed she may have suffered a severe break. The x-ray was done within hours and he was correct with his findings. He again advised that I leave my animal at the vets for him to operate as soon as possible which was a very complicated procedure. James conducted the procedure to repair the break with great success. During the recovery after the procedure, the staff all payed thorough attention to my cat which made me feel confident that she was recieving the best care and treatment. My animal is now pain free and has recovered remarkably thanks to the outstanding vetinary skills/experience. Thank you Companion Care!

I was recommended to James Fowler as a Vet in 2010 & have not looked back! He is extremely professional, thorough and very caring. I have absolute peace of mind that my cat in receipt of the best care I could want for him. I would not hesitate to recommend James to anybody. I always receive a very personal service from reception, all of this is the reason why I choose and will continue to use James & Redhill Veterinary Surgery.

I'm very disappointed with Companion Care Redhill. I was booked in to see James, the lead vet and owner(?) of the practice. On multiple occasions now, despite being booked in with him, I was told by reception that he wasn't in that day. The other vets that cared for my dog were all very good and I have no complaint about them, but I expect continuity in the care of my animal, and when I'm booked in to see someone, I expect them to show up!!!
Very displeased with this all to be honest.
I'm very sorry to hear of your experience at the surgery. That certainly should not have happened. We go to great lengths to ensure continuity as we feel strongly that it is the best interests of our patients and clients for them to see the same vet each time. Although I do not work seven days a week, I have not had an unplanned day off for many months. Nor have I been off sick a single day since the practice opened 3 years ago, so I am very confused as to how this could have happened even once, never mind more than once. I would love for you to contact the practice and ask to speak to me so that we can discuss this further. Hopefully that way I can determine how this occurred, ensure that it never happens again, and see if there is anything we can do to make up for our mistake.
