I couldn't be more pleased with the fabulous service received last week! Staff are always very friendly and accommodating. My pet is normally a little jittery when going to the vets but this time there was not a hint of uneasiness. The vet, Radoslaw, was excellent providing a calm environment and my pet sensed this and nudged him (a rare occurrence for my pet). Advice was excellent - I am very pleased!

With the best of intentions good owners can be bad owners. My cat Fang was spoiled until her weight reached almost 7kg. Today, about a year or so later she is approx. 4.5kg, optimal weight for a cat like her. Consequently her risk from diseases like diabetes and joint problems is reduced.
Graeme and his staff taught me about my cat to understand her needs better. She eats more slowly now since feeding time is now a game for her with a specially designed bowl, a feeding ball and a few games I have invented. As an "at home cat" she is happier and more stimulated. She has a water fountain to drink from too and a litter type she prefers to use!
The nurses have kept an eye on her weight every 3 weeks (at no cost!) and advised on portion sizes, so she has lost weight slowly and heathily. Her coat is very healthy as is the rest of her.
All of this cost me 1 vet consultation essentially and not only have I now got a more healthily sized cat through the surgery's supervision and advice, but I have a happier, more stimulated and engaged cat too.... I would say that the added value here from the vets is huge, hence my score. Customer care is superb.... the receptionists have even drawn themselves in to my cat's little life and her weight struggle!
One word of advice... listen to these people and work with them, let them teach you about your pet, learn from them and become part of the team that has your pet's interests right at its heart.

Took my Mini Schnauzer in to be spayed 2 years ago. Apparently, according to the vet, she had a reaction to the anaesthetic, suffered a pulmonary edema and nearly died. At the time we took the vets word for this and ended building up a massive bill for treatment and tests recommended by the vet. As you can imagine, this caused a huge amount of stress, fortunately she made a full recovery. Subsequently, we have found out that the symptoms were exactly those of a lost airway, as allegedly, it is common practice for vets to have the nurse perform the anaesthetic. We had a long battle with the insurers as Companion Care insisted on payment in full, and knowing we were in discussions with the insurance company, kept chasing for payment. Incidentally, she was spayed by another vets using exactly the same process correctly with no issues.
We would like to confirm that Millie received a high standard of treatment at all times from us. She suffered an unexpected complication when anaesthetising her for a routine procedure and we treated her effectively and appropriately for the symptoms displayed at the time.
Millie had an endotracheal tube correctly placed throughout, without which we would not have been able to ventilate her; there was no 'lost airway'.
We are pleased Millie has now successfully had her neutering under anaesthetic, without any problems.
We are a Gold Standard Accredited practice and have routine checks from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to ensure our high standards are maintained.
It is a requirement of our regulator and therefore practice policy that all patients are anaesthetised by a veterinary surgeon.
All anaesthesia carries a risk and we tailor our protocols to our patient's needs to reduce this risk. We use the most up to date anaesthetic drugs and have state of the art anaesthetic and monitoring equipment, each of our patients are treated as if they were our own.
We are sorry that despite our efforts to explain the issues you remain dissatisfied with the treatment we gave Millie.
