After discovering my rabbit had mucus spewing from her nose, preventing her from breathing properly, we immediately contacted this vet at 12 o'clock to book an appointment. After they ruled out anything fatal, and seeming very distracted, they arranged for a 4 o'clock appointment, despite the rabbit's worsening condition. By the time we came to bring her in for her appointment, she had been dead for a while as rigour mortis had set in. We then phoned them back to cancel the appointment, the woman on the other line claiming that she thought it was just a runny eye and if she had known, they would have had her in sooner, despite no mention of a runny eye when we arranged the appointment. Also, rabbits rarely have runny noses, so if they do, then there is something seriously wrong with the rabbit. I am just disgusted at how they dealt with this matter which could have been completely avoided, or if she couldn't survive, then she could be put down to prevent her last fee hours of suffering.
Firstly, please allow me to say how sorry I am to hear about the loss of your rabbit. The suddenness of her demise must have been a great shock for you and I am so sorry that it appeared to you that there was no concern on our part - this is far from true. Our foremost purpose and obligation is to prevent suffering but unfortunately the information provided to us on the telephone led us to believe that waiting a few hours for an appointment would not be a problem. I sincerely apologise for any misjudgment in attempting to offer a diagnosis over the phone but would have to doubt that your rabbit could have been saved at that late stage even if an appointment had been made earlier.
I am sorry that we failed to meet our usual high standards on this occasion and your valued feedback has enabled us to review our staff training.

Over the last 12 years the practice at Collier Row has catered for all the medical needs of the dogs we have had, still have, and a really bad tempered cat. The team have always been most helpful, with advice, care and treatment of all our animals and even when eventually the end of the road came for some of them, once again the care and professionalism could not be faulted. All the vets and staff that I have met over the years have gone well beyond the normal level of care and we will always be grateful for the help they have given. If anyone wanted to have a surgery that is 100% committed then the Collier Row branch is it. I would recommend this branch to anyone who needed a vet and have done so on a number of occassions.

The vet and the nurses made me feel very happy to put my trust in them when careing for my dog cooper.
Cooper runs into the vets and the staff are always happy to see him and pay him loads of attention which I find really helps when he is treated. I would and already have recommend Goddard vets Collier Row to my friends & family.

Have used this branch for many years and always been pleased with them. Recently had to take a very poorly cat to them and despite having to have her put to sleep the kindness shown to me and her was greatly appreciated. We were both treated with respect and thoughtfulness. Thank you.

Our elderly cat has been diagnosed with an an overactive thyroid problem. The vet, Gordon, has gone out of his way to explain the treatments available, their pro's and con's, success rates and costs.
The vet is king and caring and I would not hesitate to recommend him to others.
