I have been taking my dog Rory to ths practice since I first got him 2 years ago and I can honestly say I wouldn't take him anywhere else. He has had the misfortune to have been in several times over the last 2 years and each time he has been well cared for and looked after. The staff are extremely professional as well as very friendly. I attended the puppy parties which I thought were very informative and well run. I couldn't rate this practice highly enough. Good job all round!

I have only been to this practice twice with Ruby (our 4 month old golden labrador) but I am already highly impressed!!
All the vetinary staff have been so helpful and Richard is the best and most caring vet I have met (I've met a few!).
The fact that the practice offers free monthly check-ups is so reassuring, knowing that during the most important months of a dog's life, they are being properly cared for and treated. It made me realise that they are not just interested in stealing money from your bank account (as most vets are!), but the wellbeing of the animals. Ruby loves all the staff and they all make such a fuss of her in return!
Richard is always so helpful in answering any questions that we have (however silly they are!) and always gives the best advice for our puppy. There is never any pressure to get you out the door so they can get the next appointment in!
I aslo think the puppy parties are a brilliant idea and can't wait to take Ruby along to the next one!!
I would highly recommend Goddard Gidea Park to anyone with pets!

The practice at Gidea Park was recommended to me by a relative as I was having problems with my previous vets of 15 years. Despite being a little hesitant I was won over within seconds of speaking to Richard. His advice and professionalism was gratefully received and his concern and attitude to my animals was reassuring. Richard is friendly and welcoming but more importantly was genuinely interested in hearing about our animals. As a result of that first visit I have now registered all five cats and the rabbit at the practice.

I would firstly like to thank Richard and his staff for the excellent care given to our dog when he was ill. Our dog came down with a water infection and I was so worried, this was the first vets I rang and was pleased with the quick response. Richard was very helpful and supportive, he also stated that our dog had a tooth infection and was badly overweight. Richard explained that our dog will need an operation to remove the tooth; he stated he has done this operation many times which made me feel at ease. After all the hard work and advice Richard gave me our dog has never looked better and I can see he is so much happier in himself. I can't thank them enough for what everyone has done and I would highly recommend this veterinary to everyone :)

When reading reviews I always look for the odd bad one to prove they are genuine, but I'm afraid I can't oblige. I have been bringing my cat Megan to this surgery for a number of years and the advice and care has always been exemplary. On one occasion Richard chased after me along the street to reassure me that Megan had calmed down immediately I had left her at the vet's for an overnight stay, and was eating a little food. I took Megan, aged 18, when she was very sick and really did not expect to bring her home. However, after running a number of tests, Richard advised that the illness was treatable and that Meg's overall health, this illness aside, belied her years. The operation was expensive but I trusted Richard's opinion that Meg still had years of life in her. I am delighted to say that she is still with us today aged 22 and a half (the half is important at her age). I just listen to what Richard advises now - he has never let me down.

Following a thorough examination, Richard was able to assure us that our cat's condition was not life threatening, though immediate treatment was recommended. Richard went through all the available treatment options considering the age and condition of the cat and proposed a course of action. Within a couple of hours our cat was back home and began eating the following morning, much to our delight.
At every stage of the examination and subsequent treatment, Richard dealt with our cat in a tender and professional manner and went to great lengths to assure us that we would all enjoy a positive outcome. I had to take my cat, Lady, to see Richard last week as she had been scratched by another cat and it had turned into a nasty abscess. Richard took the time to explain why it had happened and exactly how he was going to treat it. Lady had to stay for 2 nights and the nurses phoned to give me updates on how she was. I cannot fault the service and would happily recommend the practice to anyone with a pet.

fantastic vets and nurses all take time to explain everything in detail and give lots of useful advice. Our Lab puppy Bugsy suddenly got poorly after just a few days of us picking him up. Goddards were great and help get him back on track and even called us the next day just to check on him. They also run FREE puppy parties which are full of great advice and gives you a head start on socialising and training your puppy. Thanks to Goddards Bugsy happy healthy puppy.

A very friendly greeting which went a long way to settle nerves and sooth concerns followed by an excellent appointment where the vet took the time to explain everything in detail. This led to my confidence being high in trusting the care of my cats to the vet, the overall experience was positive with myself feeling that my cats had received outstanding care.

I have lost track of the many years I have been with Goddards at Gidea Park. The trust you build over time is invaluable, I know the advice I am getting is because Richard knows me and my pets and will always recommend the best course of action for them. The kindness and support from all the nurses is constant even when they are snowed under having a hectic day, I have never heard any of them be anything other than professional and importantly caring and compassionate when needed. A small practice with a big heart!

My late middle brother started with Goddards and i took over after his death. Ever since i been coming here with Tess, the staff have been exceptional, and purely dedicated in looking after the welfare of your animal. Eveything is explained to you in layman terms for you to understand the problems that have been identified. Your concerns are also their concerns which makes the vet and nurses true professionals. When you know your craft, it makes it easier for you as a customer to recommed your friends and family. A Big Thanx to the Gidea Park Staff.

Goddard Veterinary Group Gidea Park are an all round great practise. They have a fantastic proffessional vet who provides care to all the pets they treat with passion. The nurses are friendly and extremely attentive, even when the practise is very busy. I have always been satisfied with the service given by the practise that I have even contacted Goddards Area Manager to express my appreciation and satisfaction with the branch at Gidea Park. I would not go anywhere else and recommend them to anyone.

I have taken my MP GSD to the sugery a couple of times now, and each time she has been treated by Richard. Not only is he an excellent vet, but he is also a really nice person, who obviously cares a lot for the animals. You could not ask for a better vet, and as long as he is there I will keep taking my dogs to him for treatment.

A big thank you to Richard and all the lovely staff at Gidea Park.
We always use to bring our 2 cats to Richard. We always felt happy with the service we got.
So when one of my guinea pigs (Coco) had a severe eye injury, I took him straight to Richard. Sadly Richard had to operate and take Coco's eye out. But the main thing is Coco is alive and well. Richard did an excellent job and saved Coco's life.
I certainly will go back to Richard if I have any other animal problems.

Richard and his colleagues have been helping me with my pets for many years - I have always found them to be kind and considerate and they get to know the pets as indidivuals - no 'conveyer belt' services here.
When my dog Pippa passed away I realised how wonderfully kind they could be to both my dog and myself - the 'added value' they gave to me in terms of support and kindess still brings tears to my eyes - thanks so much to all of you for looking after my special friend and myself.
I truly feel I have met some very special people at Gidea Park Goddards.
Love to you all. June

As the first time owner of a puppy, I have found the practice invaluable providing excellant advice from socialistaion, feeding, vaccinations etc. I found the puppy socialisation classes very helpful with good tips on training feeding and ensuring our puppy was happy and contented. I have felt comfortable on all occasions to ring up and ask advice on a wide range of issues as firework night, holidays etc. The staff are all friendly and helpful and offer a first rate service.

We bring our family dog Sandy to Richard from Chadwell Heath which isn't the most local practice for us but it's worth travelling the extra couple of miles. Richard and the rest of the nurses are always friendly and give honest up front advice. It's a pleasure to come to the practice although Sandy probably doesn't agree!!!

I first met Rich two years ago on bringing my much loved 9 year old doberman boy Prince into the practise. My previous vet recommended i should have Prince put down. I had this in my head and brought Prince in to give him a last couple of weeks of comfort by hearing Richard carrys out accupuncture as one of his many talents.Richard checked him out and carried series of checks and diagnosed him with a condition that no other vet had picked up on which we now know he has had half his life.I have not looked back since and Prince has had a new lease of life. I know Prince will not go on for ever but every day he does. is a bonus and always thank Rich for this.People i know at first think that Prince is really a different dog.
The staff there are really warming and kind and very helpfull.
So that you know im not being set up to give such high praises i'm gonna say a negative point.
The parking is not the best but even if i had to get on a boat to reach the team for my animals i would!
Yes i have just puked but its true.
Thank you so much to the Gidea park massive at Goddards! x

We took our two new kittens to Goddard's in Gidea Park after we adopted them. During each visit the staff have been friendly and caring. We had our kittens neutered here and the outcome was excellent. Our male kitten was running around as soon as he got home and the next day our female kitten was back to normal.

We took our cocker spaniel pup, Willow, in to see Richard at Goddards gidea park, as she needed spaying, and had lumps on her face. We were terrified she had cancers, and feared the worst.
The nurses were friendly and helpful, putting us at our ease and making a fuss of willow.
When we saw Richard, he immediately saw we were worried, and said that such things were common in spaniels, and whilst he wouldn't be taking anything for granted, he wouldn't worry, and neither should we. The way she reacted to him was amazing - we've had her from 6 weeks old, but she won't hold still for us, or be groomed or examined - for richard, she was like putty, allowing him to examine and palpate the lumps with no wriggling or barking.
He took biopsies of the lumps, which turned out to be inconclusive on examination at the lab, and richard advised waiting, in order to save us money, and unnecessary surgery on our dog, he said that if the lumps were malignant, there would be plenty of time to deal with them, and if benign, no need. We were too worried to do this (first time dog owners), so Richard removed the lumps.
He also spayed her at the same time, which he advised so she wouldn't need to be put under twice. When we picked her up, there was no scar - he'd put the stitches on the inside. I didn't even know this was possible. She was up and running about the same day.
We would not take our dog to anyone except Richard now, as the nurses at the practice are friendly and helpful, and obviously love their jobs, and Richard is always happy to help, give advice, and is a fantastic vet.
