I want to thank everyone at Godard's on Well St. especially Brian the vet, for their recent care of my cat Yoda. I've been bringing my cats to Godard's for the last 15 years and the vets and the desk staff have always been incredibly caring and professional. When Yoda's brother died a couple of years ago they were so wonderfully sensitive and understanding of my sadness at his passing.
Recently I came home one evening and Yoda seemed very suddenly to have gone blind and deaf. In retrospect the deafness had been happening for a while but I only really noticed the extent of it once his sight went as well.
Brian was his usual caring and professional self, but held out very little hope (given the degree of retinal detachment that had already taken place) that Yoda's sight would return - even if the high blood pressure that had caused the blindness was helped by medication,
Two weeks later and incredibly Yoda's sight has actually returned! This is of course thanks to the care and expertise of Brian and the other Godard's staff, but the thing that really impressed me was the joy that Brian expressed on seeing Yoda's completely unexpected recovery: he even called other members of staff in to share the good news! This human approach, even more than expertise and professionalism of the staff there, is what for me, makes Godard's on Well St. a special treatment centre.
Thank you again to all the staff at Godard's for their humane caring (in every sense of the word)! And for seeing both Yoda and me through this worrying time.

Our dog has needed several appointments in the last couple of months and the team at Godard's are always welcoming and patient with anxious owner and poorly pet. Brian removed a small tumour from the dog's eyelid. The prospect made us apprehensive but she is now fully recovered from the very skilful surgery she received. Our dog is a much loved family friend and it is lovely to go to Godard's and to feel so well cared for. Ailments are carefully considered and monitored and we are seeing good progress. Highly recommended (but do get pet insurance!).

Our cat is very timid and had not needed to see a vet for 15 years. Today we took her to see Brian the vet because she had a very sore paw. She didn't want to go in her pet carrier box and she tried hard to escape from it but we were called in promptly and Brian was so calm and soothing that she soon settled down with him and submitted to the examination without any fuss. Brian was also very friendly and reassuring with my daughter. He carefully explained the possible reasons for the problem and the treatment required.

Our one year old Bassett, Daisy, needed neutering, and having heard that Brian Barnett was very good with dogs, we headed straight for Goddards in Hackney. He was excellent, as was his support team.
Prior to the operation , he was informative and reassuring.
The quality of surgery was excellent - the stitches just the right tautness, so Daisy wasn't bothered by them, and didn't lick or tamper with the wound at all. Since the stitches have come out, the wound has continued to heal perfectly.
I highly recommend the Well Street practice.

When we first got our kitten Banks, we joined Goddards Vet and she had her vaccinations there. They took good care of our kitten and the surgery was clean and tidy. I must say after checking out other vets, I realised how expensive Goodards were. I wish Goddards offered more deals such as vaccinations, neutering and flea treatment etc. A lot of vets do this and it's a lot more cost effective for owners. Saying that the vet was very good and the staff were very friendly.
Thank you for your valuable feedback and kind comments about our staff and newly extended surgery.
I am pleased to be able to inform you about our in-Company wellness plan, ProActive Pets, which has now been rolled out around most of the practice and which is soon due to arrive at our Well Street practice.

We just can not speak highly enough of Brian Barnet and the team at Well Street Goddards. When we were advised that our cat had to have an operation to remove some lumps from her ears we just panicked. However, Brian calmed our nerves by explaining the procedure thoroughly and patiently answering our many, many, questions. When we left her at the surgery we felt confident that he would do his very best for our girl and that she was in safe hands. The surgery went well and she was back to her old self the very next day. One ear is now bigger than the other but that just adds to her quirky character!
We have been owned by cats for nearly forty years and everyone of them has been treated either at Well Street, Highbury or the hospital at Wanstead. We have always found the vets and nurses at Goddards to be not only friendly but also very professional and supportive.

my regular vet was too busy to come out to see my 12.5 year old GSD who was in a lot of pain as his legs had given out.
I called these guys out and hoped for the best.
Amazing service. Sadly our old fella had to be euthanised. I cannot praise the vet and his assistant enough.

Thank you so much to everyone at Hackney Goddards. My dog was suddenly very very ill. Brian and the team gave her an emergency appointment and excellent care. They saved her life and I'm so very grateful. Everyone at Goddards was so considerate and kind - I recommend them as the best vets in Hackney that I've been to. Thank you again so much!

Tilly is a one year old Yorkshire Terrier and was due to be spayed. I have always taken my pets to Brian and he has helped through some difficult times. His team are very friendly and ever so helpful, answering questions and putting your mind at ease when Brian is busy. I have got to know his team very well through out owning pets and having to take them to the Hackney Goddard vet group. Tilly has bounced back with loads of energy and seems like she has even more energy then before. She also had to have two baby teeth taken out. Brian and his team have always taken the time to help me and put my mind at rest as I am a worrier when it comes to pets and always end up crying. They always make me feel comfortable and not at all silly.
Top star ratings from me for all the years that I have been taking my pets to Brian and his team.
