“Consistently caring service”

Over the years Goddards in Harrow Weald have looked after various members of our furry family. Without exception, the staff are caring and genuinely committed to the wellbeing of our pets. I wouldn't take our animals anywhere else, thank you all for all your hard work. And if you're reading this considering Goddards please be assured the care your pets will receive is top class :-)

“Definitely recommend”

We have used this vets for 4 years now and would not dream of taking our cats anywhere else. Sam and the nurses are just great, always warm and friendly and very professional. They obviously all love animals and are always full of practical advice as well as there for more serious issues like when one of our cats was injured last week.

“highly recommend”

Having just moved to the area I made an appointment for advice on correct feeding, handling, housing etc as I have recently acquired 3 guinea pigs. My 3 fluffies were given a thorough check over and the advice I was given was so helpful. It is so nice to have someone you feel confident in at your doorstep. Highly recommended. Thank you.

It was time for my lovely little boy Tommy to sleep forever and the professionalism and care for my situation was above what I could ever of hoped for, on what was such a sad and difficult day for me. Samantha and the staff here are wonderful. Highly recommended.

“Brilliant Vet for my rabbit”

We love it here. They were friendly and helpful when one our our rabbits sadly died just after we got her. They also have been wonderful for Indie, our other rabbit. Vaccinations went well and were well priced. Indie has also just finished recovering from being sprayed. The care on the day as well as the home meds, tips and the check up appointments have been brilliant and great value for money. As long as Sam is there we won't consider anywhere else!

“Fantastic!!”

Sam agreed to see me when I came home to a very distressed kitten. She had no appointments but I was told to go along and wait and she would try and see him as soon as she could. Within 45 minutes he was home having had an injection to calm him down. Absolutely excellent service - thank you so much!! 24 hours on he was a different cat and ready and raring to get back outside. Just need to wait for those blasted fireworks to go away now........!

“Very happy with friendly staff”

I have been going to Goddards Vet in Harrow Weald for nearly 2 years now. I have a pet cat who has been treated for various things over this time. On every visit, I have been met with smiling faces from their friendly staff. Sam (the vet on site) is very caring and gentle, and also very helpful if I had any questions. I would recommend this Vet to anyone with pets.

“supportive practice”

Sam (the vet) was very supportive and caring when we had to put down our elderly cat and then soon after dealt with our younger cat's serious illness. She was attentive, honest about fees and options and really cared. I would recommend this practice with no hesitation

“DISAPPOINTED AS TO HOW THEY DEALT WITH MY PET”

When my cat began wheezing and was unable to eat, I rang Goddards to ask for an urgent appointment and was surprised to be told that the Harrow Weald branch is only a small place and was unable to cope with this problem. I registered all four of my cats as I naturally assumed this was a normal veterinary practice with operating theatre, etc. I was sent off to the Mandeville Veterinary hospital (same ownership) where the reception staff and two young vets treated me with a total lack of consideration. Finally a third vet explained the problem and that it would be kinder to let my pet be put to sleep. I will never use this practice again. It will be interesting to see if Goddards are honest enough to publish a critical review.

We were sorry to receive this review and would like to point out some facts to assist address the balance.

Contrary to this clients belief the Harrow Weald surgery is a very fully equipped surgery where the resident vet surgeon performs an extensive range of operations.

The client telephoned on a Saturday morning with what sounded like a serious problem. An appointment was made for 11.15am, but mindful of the fact that the surgery was due to close at midday and that hospitalisation might be necessary to treat the cat, the receptionist wisely advised that the owner might also check to see whether an urgent appointment could be made at the local 24-hour Mandeville Hospital. Like any branch surgery anywhere, intensive care can only be offered during its hours of opening whereas a hospital with a Night Vet can offer a high level of care around the clock. The two young vets were a locum and a new graduate seeing practice and once the case history was taken the client was passed onto one of our regular experienced vets who then took on the case. We apologise for any inconvenience and would wish to offer the leaver of the review our sincere condolences on her sad loss.

“Would highly recommend ”

Samantha and her staff have looked after my dogs for the last three and a half years, I have always been welcomed, apologised to if I have been kept waiting, but also put at ease and fully informed of any problems, and treatment needed for my dogs, Samantha will always listen and discuss my feeling about my dogs. All staff are kind friendly and very professional, I would be devastated if I had to use another vet.

“Best vets practice ever!”

I have been using this practice since it first opened years ago.

The staff are all so friendly and helpful. Sam - the current vet - is just great. At the moment one of my cats is recovering from a cancer operation and the attention, and helpful information supplied, is second to none. I would recommend this practice to anyone with no hesitation whatsoever.

“Excellent Practice for all our pets”

We moved to Goddard's as we were fed up with our previous vets, who had been recommended to us by a vet charity we worked with. While we were at the other practice we often heard clients having arguments about the charges because they had a 'health check' or extra treatments that had not been discussed or agreed on.

It is such a relief to have a vet we trust and know we can rely on to give us excellent information all the time and not feel like we are being screwed for every penny. Samantha has always been completely honest with us about caring for our rabbits, rats and new puppy. We trust her completely which means that in a difficult situation you do not have the extra worry about your friend being well looked after and receiving the right treatment.

All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and really care about the animals they look after, and this practice really does go the extra mile. Thank you.

“Very clean and lovely staff.”

I moved to Godard's from [another vet] about a year ago after a very bad experience with them and I havent looked back.
The surgery is very clean and the staff are exceptionally friendly and professional.
They do go the extra mile for their patients and seem to genuinely care for the animals they look after.
They are also very reasonable on price.
Other vets will charge you as much as they possibly can whereas Godards always do their best to keep the cost of vetenary treatment as low as possible.

I fully reccomend them.
