“appointments ”

i love your practice the vet and the nurses have always made me confident that my pet's are getting the best care and treatment that they deserve. that is why i feel very saddened that i may have to change my vet and this is a very difficult decision for me, but i have had two incidents recently where i have been unable to get an appointment. the first was a few weeks ago when my dog poppy got stung by a bee and i had to rush her to another vet. and now my cat leo is unwell and i cant get an appointment until Thursday, i can understand that it is a very busy surgery but at the same time i am very concerned about my pet's, i have been bringing my pet's here for many years and going to find another practice that i have faith in. 03/11/14

We were sorry to hear your problems regarding appointment availability at the branch and though you are correct in saying 'it is a very busy surgery' we do endeavour to see as many clients as possible each day when there are any immediate concerns regarding their pet's health. We have taken action since your feedback and sincerely hope that appointment availability issues will be less likely in future. However, due to the nature of our service this is unavoidable at times and we do offer a 24 hour service at our Wanstead Veterinary Hospital.

The team at Mile End are very professional, and just as importantly, very welcoming. I really feel they care for my cat and treat him with as much respect as possible - this is how a vet's practise should be.

“Wonderful vet and great nurses”

I have been using this vet surgery for 14 years. In that time I have had the benefit of three fantastic vets. The current vet, Emily, is just wonderful - as well as being very professional and knowledgeable, she is kind, caring and gentle. And that's with both me and my dog and cats! I really trust and like her. The nurses, Haley, Ipek and Chloe are also great, genuinely friendly, kind and knowledgeable too. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for any of them.

“Great practice!!”

My two cats Rocky and Sapphire have been going to this practice ever since they were kittens in 2009.

Rocky especially needed lots of treatment when he was young and had a rare skin disease. He regularly attended the practice.

Felicity was the first vet we had and then when she left, saw a few other vets and then the current vet Emily.
All very caring and gave good advice. The vet. nurses are lovely also. The head nurse Haley we have known from the start and found her to be friendly and helpful.

I remember all the nurses were happy and willing to help when administering tablets and calming down our cats when agitated. Even wiped down our carrier when one sapphire did a wee inside because of stress.

All the staff here are professional and good at their jobs.

We have moved out of the area and I'm sad we have to move vets.

It was a pleasure knowing you!! Thankyou everyone at Goddards Vets Mile End.

“Goddard Mile End Vet Practice”

I just wanted to let you know how happy we are with the practice.

We have 3 little ones, and another that passed away a couple of years ago.

We have been coming for 9 years or so. The team has helped us through tough times (a death and the cancer leading to it), emergencies (obstruction caused by eating something that should not be eaten), ongoing care (allergies, arthritis, heart murmur, teeth, regular shots, annual check-ups) and mishaps (bites etc).

The vets have changed from time to time and we have sometimes seen the locum. The care has remained high, the nurses are just so lovely, knowledgeable and practical.

We are very pleased.

We also attended the inaugural first aid event and we (my husband and I) left full of knowledge, but also very confident that the Mile End practice is the best place for our little ones. Thank you for organising such a wonderful event and also for bringing "patients" so we could practice bandaging and see how to handle them.

Please keep up the good work. You are all so lovely and kind.

“Amazing service!”

I took my dog in to see Emily at Mile End as she had been a bit sickly over a couple of days and was very concerned! She was then diagnosed with a couple of stomach problems and was dehydrated so had to be stay in for the day!

I knew I was leaving her in the very safe and capable hands of Emily and the wonderful nurses who looked after her. They took care of her as if she was one of their own! They kept me updated with everything, how she was doing and made sure I was aware of any extra costs that may need to be added on throughout the day etc (thank god for petplan!).
She came home that evening and they thoroughly explained everything so that I could understand and is doing so much better already!

Cannot thank the team enough for making my poorly pup better as she obviously means the world to me!

“Simple the best!”

I have 2 spoilt cats who's health & happiness is more important to me than my own. When 1 came home with a broken tail I was very upset & distressed. There was only 1 vet I wanted looking after him & that was Emily. She gently examined him & discovered he had also fractured 2 major teeth & lost a claw! My little boy had obviously been in a terrible accident.

Emily & her team gave me emotional support & my precious cat the best medical care for which I am very grateful. By the end of the day he was ready to come home. He has now made a full recovery & ready to get back to more mischief.

(As he is insured with Pet Plan the cost was not an issue but for the multiple procedures & care he received the bill was still reasonable.)

I found Goddard Vet Group Mile End branch after an online search of my local area and took my pet there for an initial check up.

From the first moment on the phone, to time spent in the vets undergoing a procedure, the team has been nothing but professional, friendly and caring. They've explained all procedures, answered my many questions and reassured me without a second thought.

Every single staff member cares about your pet, and this is visible from how they speak to the animals and owners, and they make a great effort to put your mind at ease. I went for a second opinion just to check, after finding my pet had potential trouble and was so shocked at the mindset of the other practice (felt like a moneymaking production line) that I had no hesitation in taking my pet to Goddard Vet's for her operation. I even feel silly for doubting the lovely team to be honest and certainly wouldn't go anywhere else.

Emily the vet and her team are truly lovely and skilled at what they do. Gold stars all round! Thank you x

I've just changed over for Goddard's as this is a more convenient location for me to take my rabbit and was not disappointed. They are amazing organised, efficient and provide a stellar service.

Since Felicity left, there have been a few different vets working here. Now Emily has arrived and seems set and stay and I'm very happy about that. She seems terrific. The nurse team headed by Haley are as fantastic as ever!

“French Bulldogs love this vet!”

My two French Bulldogs have both been treated here, firstly by Dominique and lastly Briony, both vets are superb. Through, kind and considerate and made both dogs feel at home in the surgery. I was happy to finally get a vet who cared about the animal not just recommending drugs and failing to look into the real cause behind Violet's serious allergy problems, Dominique solved this after a couple of visits. And both Violet and Charley are very fond of Briony, Hailey, Ipek and Charlotte a lovely team!

“Could do better ”

I have been going to Goddard for 2/3 years they are friendly and it is clean. The last few times I have been to pick up my dog tables they have not been ready also this time the dosage was wrong on the computer I had to tell them how many tables he has. He had his booster 3 weeks ago he is 12 with a bad heart and his breathing is kept ok with the pills . They gave him a kennel cough vaccination and he has had big problems coughing and sneezing but after 3 weeks it has slow down a bit and with the rain it is getting better. He will never have that again. He is my child this has been very stressful for him and me. Please read and take on board.

Our vet advises that her staff always ask clients what dose they are giving so that we can double check that they are giving the prescribed dose as sometimes clients change the dosage without our advice or knowledge. In this case we were just confirming that the correct dose was being given, which it was.

In relation to the kennel cough vaccination our vet advises that with any vaccination, as with humans, it is possible for a dog or cat to have a reaction, so it may be that in this case there was some irritation after the vaccination; it is a shame for the pet but the long-term benefit is highly important.
The staff do customarily prepare repeat prescriptions ready for collection when some notice is provided.

I wanted to thank all the staff very much for the way they looked after Terry not only in his recent and final illness but also over the five and a half years we have been attending the surgery.

All the staff have always been kind and friendly. I am very grateful for all the expert care, patiently explained and discussed at all times by Felicity, Dominique and Briony during that period.

“Friendly and very caring staff!”

I have been using the Mile End branch of Goddards for 11 years now. I first took my dog when Scott was the vet. Every vet i've ever seen has been great at explaining things to me when i've been worried about operations or treatment for my dog. Last year my dog had a large lump removed and it was awful afterwards having to have fluid drained off a couple of times a week but Briony was marvellous. Also i've been given the chance to choose what route of treatment to take when sometimes it could have proved to be a lot more expensive. The nurses are really lovely and friendly (especially Haley who i've known for a long time) and they are all very caring of the animals. They always ask how my dog is whenever I go to the surgery to pick up his food. I would always recommend them.

“Would definitely recommend”

I have been using Gooddards at Mile End for many years now and would highly recommend them. I would give them five stars but I do feel that they are a little pricey and therefore only four stars.
When my two cats died I was lucky enough to have the support and help of Hailey and Felicity who was the vet at the time. They gave me the time to say goodbye and couldn't have offered me more support.
I now have two new beautiful cats from Battersea and we have been to see Brioney a couple of times. What I really like is the honest approach and not pushing un-necessary treatment. Both my beautiful boys suffer from cat flu and we have had a few issues over the past few months but both Brioney and Hailey have been there to answer questions, either in person or on the phone.
I trust them both to give me sound and accurate advice.
The surgery is always friendly and would recommend then to anyone.

“Great care of animals (& their owners!)”

I have been a client of Mile End Goddard's clinic for 12 years because my animals have had excellent care for all those years. One of my cats had a chronic condition, another has developed a range of problems in his older age & I've rescued quite a few feral or stray cats over the years. For the last year we've also had a Battersea dog. So I am almost a part of the furniture at the clinic. I couldn't praise vets Felicity (now back in Australia) & Dominique highly enough and Briony is dealing with the difficult task of taking over the reins well. Head nurse Haley is also fantastic - very experienced, knowledgeable, & invariably kind & helpful. Indeed the whole team of nurses has always been great - lovely, kind, friendly and efficient.

“Excellent, caring swervice”

We have been clients of this practice for over 14 years and all of the vets (Scott, Felicity and now Bryony) have been fantastic in the care of our pets - our severely medically compromised cat and now two puppies. The care and consideration that Kitty received gave her a quality and length of life she would not have enjoyed otherwise. Hayley has been there for many years and we have utmost confidence in her care and advice, and I am very impressed by how quickly newer staff members got to know us. The greetings in person or over the phone are always friendly and personal. I would have no hesitation in recommending this practice for the quality of care and friendly efficient service.
