I had to take my 51 year old Parrot to Goddard's, and because I had been there once before and was pleased with the care my pet received, I trusted them again with Polly. I was aware that Goddard vets were not specially trained with large birds, but my Parrot was exceptionally old and was fading away slowly. The vet confirmed that this was the case, and unfortunately there was nothing that he could do for him. As a family, we agreed that the kindest thing for Polly was to put him to sleep, as it was clear he was suffering.
The vet we saw was so sympathetic and understanding and let me decide how much time I needed with my beautiful pet before anything was done. Polly was given a sedative to calm him and make him drowsy, so he wouldn't be aware of anything happening. The vet then gave him the last injection, and Polly fell asleep.
I was able to hold Polly in my arms as all the above was done and I have the comfort I was with him in his final minutes. That meant a lot to me.
Afterwards I was very upset and distressed, and I was offered tea, or water.
The vet help me wrap Polly in a blanket, and he was so gentle and respectful with Polly, I felt comforted in this most difficult moment.
While I was waiting for a cab to take me back home, the receptionist gave me some water, which helped.
A week later to the day, I received a handmade sympathy card from all the vets and staff at Goddard vets offering their condolences for my sad loss.
This went above and beyond all of my expectations! I cannot thank the team at Goddard vets for their exceptional kindness . My memories of my last moments with Polly are painful, but I feel comforted he had the best care in his last moments, and that will stay with me for the rest of my life.

Mark has looked after my dog ever since I got her almost 8 years ago. Him and his team have always gone the extra mile and are happy to explain everything they do and answer any questions you have.
I don't normally write online reviews but this vet practice is so well run that I think it should be recognised.
Couldn't recommend highly enough!

I've been bringing my dog, Hachi, at the Goddard Vet in West Ham for a very long time now and I'm fully satisfied with the treatment she always has.
Marc, Isabel and all the nurses and ladies on the reception (whose names I will not list fearing I may forget one or two) are absolute professionals and always treat Hachi with respect.
Hachi has had two serious problems so far and I can now feel safe that, no matter what the problem is, she is in safe hands.
To the whole team in the Goddard Vet in West Ham, I'd like to say a huge thank you for treating Hachi as well as for doing the extra mile to deliver the good news about the lab analysis results late on Monday evening.
I'm sure Hachi would be greatful as well, if only she knew how much you have helped her :)

I have been with Mark and his team for many years now and they have supported me with my mulitude of pets! They treat their clients like members of a family. Coming to London from a rural environment, I really didn't expect to find such a personalised service in the city. I wouldn't consider taking my pets anywhere else and have no hesitation in recommending this practice in all respects. Big thank you's from me and the pets (Clancy, Tully, Daisy and Findal the dogs, Izzy and Dude the cats, Midnight, Sensei, Indie and Badger the rats)!

Mark and the team at this Vets practice are excellent. This a caring and efficient practice that you can have complete confidence in. They also have a great follow up - calling how to see how your pet is doing and responding etc with any ongoing treatment and always stress how they are on hand to answer any of your questions. They go the extra mile - even putting your pet insurance claim together for you. Marks prompt actions saved my little dogs life, what more can I say. It is a really great practice!

My family and I have been using Goddards' West Ham branch for around 28 years, with a wide variety of pets and their illnesses. From a much-beloved cat to a mouse with breathing problems to our present dog, a hyper-active pooch named Megan, the vets and staff here have always been kind, informative and willing to help with anything they are presented with. It is this dedication to helping animals and the high level of knowledge shown by all at the practice which has kept us coming back time and time again. Here's looking forward to another 30 years of good service when my son acquires his own pets!

Mark is a fantastic vet, kind, friendly, and will never give up the fight for any of the animals under his care. We would never consider taking our 2 dogs Max and Molly, our 5 Cats Bobbie, Poppy, Jess, Bess and Tiny, our 3 guinea pigs Squeak, Fluff and Rocky anywhere else. His is dedicated to his job, but to Mark, it's more than a job, he's dedicated to both us and our pets,he cares for our pets, he gets to know them as if they were his own pet. We have been going to West Ham lane for over 20 years and he is the best vet that we have ever had.
Emma, Shantel and Lucy our nurses, are also the best you could wish for, they go above and beyond, it's not a job to them it's a devotion.
This great team always has time to talk, and ease your mind when your worried, their friendly, and they care!
Mark, Emma, Shantel and Lucy we can describe them in three words 'SIMPLY THE BEST'

Our dog Jasper has just had fantastic care and treatment from Mark and the team. Jasper had a very bad eye and he was in pain.
