I have been using Elland surgery for many years now and I have always been incredibly happy with the service and their caring attitude and dedication to their profession. Nothing is ever too much trouble for all creatures great and small.

“Amazing service as always, Chris and the Elland team are fantastic”
Thanks again Chris and your team for being as fantastic as always. I was so worried about Gracie yesterday when she took a really bad reaction to something , her throat started to swell and her body just became covered in big lumps which was obviously stressing her. Being a British Bulldog who's breathing is not the best I panicked , a phone call to West Mount Vets and I was told to take her straight in. She was seen immediately and treated and is now back to her cheeky self. She went back for a check up today and is back to normal.
West Mount vets is a fantastic practice who look after you and your pets on a personal level. As a foster career for Bulldog Rescue and Re-homing I have used this practice many times and have always been really happy with the service. The whole team are so friendly and take an interest in all the Bulldogs I have taken in.
I recommend this vets to everyone that has a pet, I would never go anywhere else x x

“A friendly caring practice”
My cocker spaniels have been going to the West Mount Elland practice for the past 20 years or more and I have always been very happy with the expert care they have received from Chris and his friendly smiling team. The dogs I have owned have always been on their best behaviour when attending due to the careful, kindly handling they receive. We shall continue to come to Elland from Brighouse for veterinary care and wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Recently Chris has successfully treated Murphy's ongoing dental problems without the need for antibiotics. Many thanks to you all.

“Compliment”
Last Sunday, our border/patterdale terrier cross disappeared from the garden we were working in at around 3.30pm, in Elland. Despite much tramping of the streets and calling for her there was no response/success. After about 2 hours searching we called West Mount Vets to ask if we could leave Flora's details in case anyone called in having found her. To cut a long story short, at about 9.15pm we received a call from somebody who had found a dog and called West Mount. You put them in touch with us and we were happily reunited - none of us any the worse for our experience. We would just like to thank West Mount for the super service offered, which brought an end to a really worrying few hours. It is much appreciated and hope you can continue to help other pets and owners in need. The person who found Flora had also benefitted from similar help in the past when you helped them find their cat.

“Absolutely fantastic!! ”
My dog needed her jab, we didn't go back to [previous vet] so we came here. Huddersfield is our local one, but we decided to come to the Elland one instead. The staff are so friendly! My dog is a nervous dog, so she didn't like going in, but she really liked the vet! (Chris). Chris took his time to explain stuff, and was 'careful' around her. Definitely think we'll be back there!!
Highly recommend them!

I would just like to reccommend this surgery to everyone, my animals have had the best treatment and have always been looked after very well.

“Compliment”
What can I really say? You treat my pals like your pals and Chris, your diagnostic skills are brilliant. It's easier if you are diagnosing humans as they can tell you exactly what is happening. You have to depend on your skills, observation and instinct. Coupled with frantic owners getting the 'story' wrong must be a nightmare. Thanks for diagnosing Holly and keeping on top of her case. Thankfully I keep smiling but it always helps when you, Dinah and Kathy laugh and smile too.

“BRILLIANT VETINARY PRACTICE - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED”
I use West Mount Vets for the Bulldogs I foster from Bulldog Rescue. The reception staff are really friendly and show an interest in every dog I have taken in. The vets are all fanatstic and spend all the time that is needed with the dogs consultation. They are also friendly and make the animals feel comfortable. Chris (vet) has been amazing with the dogs I have taken there. Can not in any way fault their sevice and my advice to anyone that is looking for a vet for their pet would be to try West Mount.

Have tried to think of things the practice does which can be improved on, but couldn't. As a customer of the Elland practice for a number of years, I've always had very positive experiences. The vet and nurses have always been very supportive and personable (not just to our pets)!

“Thanks Elland surgery!”
Chris and Caroline, and Dinah and Kathy, down at the Elland surgery have just been brilliant. We first took our kittens, aged 8 weeks, down to them with cat flu, and our little lady Poppy has struggled with skin allergies since then and Chris and Caroline (particularly Chris) have become so familiar with her that I really feel as if they truly care about her. I can't see us going to another vets now, as both me and my other half feel so comfortable with them and trust them so much.

“Cannot praise highly enough”
I have used West Mount in Elland since around 1997, & can honestly say that they are probably among one of the top vets in the country! Everyone from Chris the vet to the nurses are incredibly caring and helpful and it seems nothing is too much trouble!
Chris is very patient and takes the time to explain everything clearly- not always an easy thing to do when you're dealing with some over-protective, worried pet owners! He never tries to rush you out of the surgery and really makes you feel that your pet is the most important pet that he has seen that day!
I must also give a special mention to Dinah, who over the years has given me invaluable advice on everything from how to stop your cat from weeing where he shouldn't to how to get a tablet down him without causing stress to himself or me! She is a true star!
All in all, West Mount Elland offers a first class service, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to anyone! x

“A very caring practice”
We had our last German Shepherd registered with WMV and we quickly learned that it was a practice that really cared. When the difficult time came to put our dog to sleep we were really moved by the sensitivity displayed by all the staff at the Elland Practice. When we were ready to get another dog the staff were on hand to advise us as to the best way to get and socialize our new puppy. Needless to say, she is registered at West Mount Vets.
