We have five very dear cats who we love so much. We take them every year for their boosters/health checks. James has been totally amazing - on the rare occasions that they have had health issues (teeth) he has given informative and impartial advice, which we have acted on. He even remembers we are a multi-cat household. I seriously wouldn't go anywhere else. Highly recommended.

Our extremely nervous Jack Russell recently underwent two operations performed by James and the lovely team at Medivet Sidcup. We have been really impressed with their caring, patient approach and particularly their efforts to make each visit as stress free as possible for our very anxious dog. James, Kylie and Kirsty have all been very kind and helpful, particularly when explaining future treatments/medication etc. We are very grateful to them and would not hesitate to recommend the practice to others. Jonny is particularly grateful for the delicious liver treats which he has enjoyed during each visit!!!!!!

My dog, Bertie, is quite a nervous dog and doesn't always behave at the vets! We have recently moved and this was Bertie's first visit to Medivet Sidcup. Bertie didn't let me down his behaviour was not good. However, James (vet) was so good with him. James gave me some good advice on how to prepare Bertie for his next visit (which was to be an operation). I really welcomed this.
Following Bertie's operation the follow up and checking was also very good. Every contact I have had with this practice has given me confidence in them.
I would recommend this practice. I will be taking Bertie back for his check ups.
Well done the whole practice.

We visited with our young cat who was giving every impression of dying and being in great pain. Vet checked her thoroughly and was able to find and deal with the cause there and then. The next day our little cat was fast returning to normal and the day after she seemed virtually her normal self. We were so relieved and we were impressed with the way that the vet took the time to check without suggesting expensive testing.
We will definitely use this practice again.

I have always found this vet practice to be very good and professional.
It is expensive as all vets are.
I find James the head Vet to be very knowledgeable and kind.
The nurses are lovely, and try to fit you in whenever they can.
I would recommend this vets!

I wanted to leave a review because I have been very happy with the practice and the way in which they have responded towards our dog's on-going illnesses. Always flexible in giving appointments and James the vet, called on two separate occasions to see how she was progressing after an operation.
Can't fault the level of professionalism and would recommend to any dog owner in the area.

Having used Medivet in Sidcup for the last 4/5 years approximately 6 visits overall we were pleased with the overall service. However, my last visit approximately one month ago left me wondering if some of the treatment we had paid for the care of our cat (stray who move in us about 5/6 years ago) in the past was necessary.
On my last visit I brought the cat in as he was falling off his back legs and obviously of great concern. The vet I saw had a good look at his limbs and said they seemed fine, she then suggested an x-ray £500+ and then moved on to MRI £2,000 mentioning cancer. She left me to think about this and come back the next day; she also prescribed some pain killers which I bought on the way out. I left in tears.
After calming down and thinking a bit more rationally, the next day I made an appointment with another vet (I gave them no history of my cat) He also checked the cats limbs and said they seemed fine, he said he was reluctant to give him pain killers without knowing more and suggested blood tests. The results came back in 20mins and he confirmed the cat had renal failure. Total cost for visit and some medication £70. He is now on a renal diet and picking up. Its saddens me to write this but I am so upset.
We are very sorry to hear that you were dissatisfied with the recommendations our vet gave during your consultation. We would welcome the opportunity to resolve this matter and discuss any misunderstanding with you.
Our branch partner, James at Medivet Sidcup has looked into your comments and would encourage you to call him at your earliest convenience so that he can discuss the case in more detail with a hope to resolve any concerns you may have.

Should have added that Medivet were also top notch at looking after the dog in the years prior to his passing. They also take care of the cat, and will continue to do so.
First rate diagnoses, advice and recommendations, and a lovely personal friendly touch- they really know the animals and owners they serve.
I wouldn't dream of using anyone else, and would thoroughly recommend them.
Medivet Sidcup team- thank you for the card and beautiful poem that arrived this morning.

The time recently came to say goodbye to my 15 year old dog; his back legs, which had been steadily getting weaker, finally legs gave way. He couldn't get up, and was clearly distressed. I made the dreaded phone call and explained that I couldn't get him into the car (he growled if we went to move him), and Medivet said they would come to the house.
Jana and her assistant arrived, and the whole thing was done so peacefully and calmly. They gave us as much time as we needed, and the old boy passed away in my hands, in familiar surroundings.
I offered to pay, and Jana said "no need right now, it can wait till you've all settled down a bit" or similar.
I cannot thank them enough for how they handled this.
