Our 7 year old Westie was diagnosed with Cushings Disease around 3 months ago. Adele was great, explaining everything she had to do. Jenny and Nickie was very helpful too at a stressful time. Alfie went downhill very rapidly, not eating and losing loads of weight, although Adele tried everything she could and two weeks ago we had to have Alfie put to sleep. Even at this upsetting time Adele was very caring and understanding, giving us time to be with Alfie after he had passed. I can't recommend Adele and her team enough.

I have visited this vet practice for many years now, and have always had great service and communication with all the staff. I am a puppy walker for Guide Dogs, and would highly recommend them to all pet owners.

Dear Mr Rogers
Thank you for taking the time to review our practice. I am sorry your experience at Medivet South Ockendon was not as expected. We always prioritise our patients care, and animal welfare is at the core of everything we do. During times of emergency, unfortunately long waits can occur and we will offer to book waiting clients in for another appointment at a time more convenient to them. We try to stick closely to appointment times but we often see other critical patients first as a matter of urgency and aim to give every patient the time and care they need. We hope you are able to visit us again soon.

And I am so great full for this. Even though he's 11, they still tried & he come through it. So happy with all the treatment given & friendly ness off the staff. Would recommend this vet to others. I took my very poorly Irish Setter to Apex after 3 days of not eating/drinking. Gerald worked a miracle!!! After scanning my poorly pooch, he noticed that there was something lodged in his intestine and, after performing life-saving surgery that very afternoon and a couple of days in the animal hospital, my beautiful pup was ready to come home - complete with The Cone of Shame to stop him biting out his staples.
I honestly think that without Gerald's quick diagnosis, my beloved pet would have died. The care and compassion that all in the surgery showed was outstanding and I cannot recommend them enough. They even sorted my insurance claim out for me which helped in a very distressing time.
I would highly recommend Apex - they have shown me that they look after animals because they love them. My dog greeted Gerald like a long lost friend when he went for a check up and I will be forever grateful to the whole team for looking after both of us xx
