“see this practice for yourself and book an appointment”

I am a life long pet owner and have respect for all vet practices but have seen during the last ten years the shift in animal welfare and patient and owner practice experience become uncaring and a business model.

Thank goodness for pilgrims at enterprise house.

The whole team are absolutely amazing and it is like stepping back thirty years to the days when they care, they know your pet, they understand being a pet parent can be really upsetting AND the care, investigations and diagnosis has been brilliant.
This practice is not my local vet but I would prefer to travel to with my pets to see Leon.

Do I have concerns ..... yes because I think what am earth would I do if he ever left. His manner and complete concern and care is shared by all the team.

If your reading this because your looking for a vet for your animal my advice is book and see them and make your own judgement but I believe it will be the best appointment you could wish for.
Bimble and lavender wag their tails when they go in even though bimble has been unwell and had to unset go some unpleasant tests.

“My special rescue cat named Precious”

Today I sadly had to say good bye to Precious the cat my son found on the streets 11 months ago, bald, starving & thin. I did not think she would last the night but she did. The RSPCA came out at took her to another vet's in Dartford who said she had nothing major wrong with her just malnutrition so I kept her and was told she was old as had only 1 tooth. Well she blossomed into the most loving contented cat ever. Then a couple of weeks later she went down hill so took her to Pilgrims way where they gave her a thorough check up, her gums were rotten with broken teeth, she was almost blind and her ears were dirty. I was so shocked to hear this after the other vets saying there was nothing wrong. So she was given antibiotics , and ear drops. She thrived . All her fur grew back and she was a beautiful tortoise shell persian again. She has been so loved, spoilt, and given so much joy to me as I am disabled so has been my companion everyday. But she went down hill last week and hardly ate but thought she would bounce back as she has before but not this time. She has fought through some tough times in her past but had a will to live and keep going she would not give up.Yet I had to end it for her to day and am heart broken beyond belief. Leon is an amazing vet & person with such compassion and I thank you for that. She will lay to rest in the garden where she loved sitting next to my Tortoise. Thank you so much for making her end so peaceful. xx

“Fantastic Service Professional and friendly Highly Recommend”

It was time for my elderly Greyhound to be put to sleep and I was an emotional wreck! the team were so understanding and caring. I am an animal lover and people do not understand how my animals are a huge part of the family. The team were amazing.

Also my lurcher Alfie was rushed in to surgery the team immediately tended to him with the greatest of care. I cannot praise the team enough and have full confidence in their decisions as they always put the animals and their wellbeing first.

Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for helping my Poppy my other greyhound in her aftercare of surgery and all of my dogs.

“Caring vet nurse/staff”

We had the hardest decision to have our 19 year old cat put to sleep. I rang for some advice and felt assured we were doing what was right for our 'old man. Such a understanding and caring young lady on the phone..so made an appointment for the next day. The nurse who saw us was professional and so caring. She made a what was a upsetting time for my daughter and I so much easier..Thank you.

“A gem of a practice”

The nurses and the vets at the Kingsdown practice are brilliant, I have taken my bunnies (KiKi, Kadoo & Winnie)there over the last few years and they are always so understanding and helpful with an over anxious owner like me. Have laughed and cried there and learnt loads about caring for my buns. Cant recommend them highly enough. :)

“satisfied with level of care and good service ”

Came in quite upset regarding my 11 year old cat. They did a detailed examination and asked questions and gave a diagnosis within minutes.Didnt have to wait and i felt i was given good honest advice without it costing an absolute fortune.helpful to all my questions and as sad as it is im to go back when my cat stops eating/drinking to have him put to sleep. He is doing ok at present which is why they allowed me to take him home.

“Great practice.”

We used a vet for many years but became disenchanted with the service: he seemed more interested in making money than addressing the medical problems of our dogs. The new vets also seemed to think we were money trees, advising all kinds of tests for the most routine medical condition. We moved to Pilgrims at the start of 2012 and have been extremely happy at this practice. They are, first and foremost, concerned with the welfare of the animals and their prices are very reasonable.Money, of itself, is not our main concern but we want any treatment to be necessary for the animals' welfare and not merely a way to generate income for a veterinary business. We believe that at Pilgrims we have found an ethical, honest practice and would recommend it without hesitation.

“Definitely recommend ”

My dog was diagnosed with cancer last year and the vet said there was nothing she could do to help. I found Pilgims on the web and brought my dog here for a second opinion. So glad I did. My dog is now on homeopathic medicine and is doing so well.

Thanks to the skill and kindness of Graham and his Team, our dog is happy, healthy and enjoying life once again

“Very friendly and helpful”

I came into the clinic for the first time last week, I found the staff really friendly and could not do more to help, I was impressed with their customer friendly caring approach, i have already recommended a friend here ! I really like the way the vet approached my dog ( who usually does not like vets) he was calm and my dog was fine with him.
