I have been a client of the practise now for about 25yrs. Although vets have come and gone over this time, the service has remained the same. I first discovered the practise by chance, as my toy poodle Coco was at deaths door with severe blood loss. The then vet Steven, saved her life and we were referred to a specialist. She went onto to live until she was 13yrs old, and spent many hours at the vets. Since that time, I have had many many poodles. The staff vets, nurses and receptionists are second to none, everything is always explained in full and in a way that can be understood. I always feel that my dogs will be well cared for and dealt with professionally when I visit. Well Done. Keep up the high standard.

Barrier Animal clinic has trusted to give my tortoises pre & post hibernation check-ups for some years now. Everyone is friendly and helpful and my tortoises remain in good health.

We've been using Barrier Animal Care Clinic for many years and you couldn't wish for a better place to take your companion animals. They've treated out cats, tortoises, rabbit and dog and the vets are second to none. Their opening hours are really convenient and they're great about emergency appointments. The reception team are just brilliant too, with a wealth of knowledge, they're happy to give useful advice about pet care. It is thanks to Barrier that one of ours cats was diagnosed with cancer extremely quickly and so went on to survive five years post diagnosis to almost 19 years old. I wouldn't trust anyone else with our animals and their pet health plan makes the excellent veterinary care affordable too.

In the 15 years or so that I have attended the practice with my assorted animals - specifically dogs and cats, I have throughout this period always experienced a high degree of dedicated professionalism by all the staff and on all occasions. The care and welfare of my my beloved pets are the most important things in my life and I have every trust in their commitment and dedicated approach. I would recommend the practice to anybody.

Our Staffy Taylor was diagnosed with cancer in 2013, he was 15 years old. The help, treatment, compassion and advice received was really good and much appreciated. Everything was explained clearly with Taylor's interests always at the forefront. Eventually we had to have Taylor put to sleep in December and his last weeks were made pain free and happy. We now have a new puppy (Kira) and will be using Barrier Animal Care clinic for all of her needs. The staff are first class, really helpful and the place is always spotless. There's plenty of parking spaces too. Tony

My husband and I have kept chickens for over four years now and during that time we have been very disappointed (and sometime dismayed) by the lack of knowledge of chicken health problems/diseases by the local vets in our area. When the second of two of our chickens became ill with egg peritonitis our old vet threw in the towel and recommended the Barrier Animal Care Clinic as they deal with "exotic" animals. Although it is a bit of trek from where we live I wouldn't take our girls anywhere else now. The respect and compassion showed to us and to our poorly chicken, who unfortunately had to be put to sleep, was second to none. I have total confidence in the Barrier Animal Clinic and have not hesitated to recommend them to all my friends who keep "back door chickens" in suburbia.
