After being very critical after our last visit I was helped by a receptionist who suggested I make an appointment at a different time to try to ensure Sasha my very old cat was not stressed by a long wait. Well did just that and we are just home after a stress free appointment that I think even Sasha enjoyed. We were taken on time and seen by a delightful nurse called Lucy who was brilliant with Sasha and did her nails and a wee brush in no time and with no stress. So we'll done all round . i so appreciated the way they all helped to ensure Sasha had an excellent stress free visit. Joan Watson

We booked a double appointment to have our small very old cats claws trimmed and her coat combed. She goes every 8 weeks and has done for many years with no problems apart from they have no idea of appointment management so are usually running late but yesterday was a disgrace. I waited in the car with our cat for 35 minutes while my husband sat in a waiting room crowded with big dogs, cats, children a vet giving instructions to a customer in the waiting room and general chaos. Not what we expect from such an old well established business. We did get our appointment but we're in and out in 5 minutes with my poor little cat onLy half brushed. To say I am not impressed is an understatement. I phoned as soon as I got home as my cat was sick , had a runny tummy and was not herself purely caused by being made to wait so long.the receptionist said she would pass on our concerns which I hope she did. After all our years using this vet I hope it was a one off.
Vet ResponseDear Mrs Watson The receptionist did pass on your concerns and I am sorry that Sasha was upset by her visit last week. You have the first appointment for your next visit so there should not be any delay. We do try to keep to appointment times but sometimes complicated or sick cases can cause us to overrun. Thank you for letting us know about the problem so that we can ensure it does not happen again.

I was originally told by Pdsa to contact a vet to get a specific flea treatment they don't stock. My dog has had a toxic shock with 3 other treatments. I innotialy phoned up to enquire bout advantage. I was told it prescription only and I had to book consultation which would involve a health check. I got there vet didn't even touch my dog I chatted and then got offered advantage at 4 for 27 pounds. I left after paying 38 pound non the wiser and my dog is still got the same problems. I later find out I can buy 4 pack advantage online 12 pounds.I feel I was just another number coming threw their door. I will not be advising or taking my pets there again

I had an appointment as my Beardie was very ill - Barbara was very helpful and put my mind at rest - she showed me the X Ray she had taken which was a relief as she could see nothing serious, she went through other options with me as to how to proceed. I had every faith in her as my son had been to see her previously and he recommended her to me. It was well worth the visit. Reggie is not much better so I will be returning :)
