Unfortunately I had to have my dear cat of 18 years put to sleep today. I cannot praise Emma and her staff at the Chingford surgery enough. I was treated along with Bows my cat with kindness and sensitivity. Nothing was too much trouble. All my questions were answered with respect and there was no rush to send Bows on her way . She literally fell asleep. Unfortunately this is the fourth time I have had this experience but I can honestly say this was the most peaceful and I did not come away feeling any guilt which unfortunately I have in the past.

Emma is our regular vet at Goddards Chingford branch for our dogs of RSPCA Essex South West branch charity. Clearly committed to her profession, patients and clients, always willing to explain in detail a diagnosis, treatment plan or procedure. Caring, professional, patient and commited. We have dealt with many vets with our rescue dogs but Emma is always the vet we ask for to manage and treat our dogs and other rescue animals. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Vet Emma is exceptional, shows a real interest and care for every animal she treats. Always has time to discuss any issues and advise on any aspect of pets care. Would recommend her to anyone seeking good quality local veterinary care.

I am totally blown away by the greatest care given to Vinnie my Weimaraner.I am totally in awe of Uvi. Vinnie is avery difficult dog to befriend and I took him to Goddards because he had a severe allergic reaction on his back legs which resulted in acute hair loss.Uvi's constant concern and care for my dog was beyond belief, he even phoned to find out how he was doing on his medication, so thoughtful. Uvi talked me through all the medication doses, side effects and even wrote out a plan on reducing his meds Uvi made me feel like my dog was the most important pet to him.Uvi actually told me he would not rest until he made Vinnie feel better and that he certainly has done. The skin on his back legs looks supple and healthy. Also the hair is starting to grow back. I am so sorry that Uvi will be leaving the Chingford branch, I will miss him he went the extra mile for me and Vinnie. Ruth

I had the extreme good fortune for my elderly, under weight Siamese cat to be attended by your locum Uvi. In 35 years I have been fortunate enough to meet 3 outstanding vets. Of those 3 vets I would actually rate Uvi as the most outstanding. He thoroughly assessed my cat and gave me an honest & expert opinion that concluded that her treatment options might prove more hazardous than her existing condition. Furthermore, he went on to identify a hypertension condition during a subsequent unrelated examination. The previously undiagnosed hypertension could quite likely have proved fatal during anesthesia for her dental work. Had Uvi proceeded regardless I could have lost the cat & GVG would have lost a customer with 2 other cats. My only regret is that Uvi as a locum, is moving on to work at Dagenham. If you happen to live nearby I thoroughly recommend a visit for your pet.

Vet Response

Many thanks for your kind remarks about Uvi, who actually we have known for about ten years now and who used to be based in Wanstead Vet Hospital. We are indeed grateful for his services and understand the importance of providing our clients with good quality locum cover when their regular vet is away. We wish our regular vet, Emma well as she recovers from injury.

Goddards in Chingford is the best vet practice by far, as far as I am concerned and I have tried a few over the years. They are professional, extremely caring and friendly. I have been coming to Goddards in Chingford for some 7 seven years now. Jemima, Roxie and I give our huge thanks to Roomy Sooroojbally and all the staff for their outstanding care and commitment.

My cat is registered with their Pet Plan which not only saves me money it ensures he gets a 6 monthly check up as well as all the other benefits. I get a text message reminding me to book his appointment and the service offered by Paul and his staff is excellent. I highly recomment them to everyone, Paul even remembers the names of my son's cats who area also registered there and always asks on their health also. A wonderful practice with a fabulous dedicated team.

I have had my animals (cats & dogs) registered with Goddards Chingford for about 10 years and I have never once been anything other than completely delighted with them! Paul in particular is just brilliant and he cares so much for the animals he sees. My dogs (past & present) have always loved their trips to the vet! And when my last dog became very ill very quickly with Lymphoma she was so well looked after and tests were all done so quickly so that she could be treated as much as was possible. Sadly she deteriorated rapidly and passed away after an emergency trip to Goddards Wanstead hospital where I must say the staff were also amazing! I cannot praise Goddards Chingford highly enough & I will probably be reluctant to move to another practice should I move away from the area! I feel confident and reassured by this practice and I love the staff there and the way they make such a fuss of my animals especially my dog. Thank you all!

I have been taking my pets (cats & dogs) to Goddards Chingford for over 10 years. I have never been let down and have seen nothing but respect, attentiveness, and real good care for all my pets. In particular, my late Bullmastiff, Shiva. She was so well looked after, and cared for, by all the staff at this practice and she absolutely LOVED going to the vets! It was a joy to take her and see how happy she was there. Special thanks to Paul Kelly, he's a brilliant vet & makes the animals feel comfortable & safe. Our new Bullmastiff, 6 month old Nellie, is learning to love the vet visits too thanks to Paul & his team. Thank you all!

I can't recommend this team highly enough. I have always found Paul to be a highly dedicated and professional vet who cares greatly for the animals under his care. Nurses Roomy and Sue are delightful and are always friendly and caring and go out of their way to help in any way they can. I have been bringing pets to this branch since the 1960's and wouldn't think of going anywhere else.
