They keep changing the rules. First I was told that they would send all the insurance paperwork for me to Pet Plan when I first took it out and then I was told that I needed to have a bill for £200 before they would send this away and I needed to pay the bill first. Now they have told me that I need to pay a 5% charge to send any insurance paperwork. They don't send out any letters to let you know of these changes and I am not happy. The staff and the vets are helpful but I should find out about any changes before they happen.

Vet Response

We only process direct claims over £200 for Petplan this has been the case for several years now. We have large internal signs in each branch advising this and also that from 1st July this year we have introduced a charge of £10 for processing insurance claims and charge of £5 for ongoing claims. We are one of the last vet practices in the UK to introduce this charge and have done so to ensure we provide the most efficient service we can on the very high number of insurance claims we handle each week and for the time this involves.

We had to have our much loved Rottweiler put to sleep after it was discovered he had a heart condition. Inglis vet Erin was extremely professional and helpful over the 6 weeks, she took the time to explain his condition, the x rays and how the medicine would work. We had follow up call for us to ask any further questions also. When the time came there were no appointments available so we were asked to come in at 10am where, on our arrival the vet came out to our car and took us straight through. Rhona explained that Erin wasnt in on that particular day but it would be her and Gillian going through the procedure with us. As traumatic as it was i will always be grateful that they treated our boy with the utmost dignity and respect and let us decide how and when things were done (even feeding him treats right up to the last minute!). Now today i have just received a beautiful card signed by the staff who met him. Cannot thank Inglis enough.
