We have confidence in the Vets and Nic and Nicole always take time with our pets and genuinely care, giving sound advice/treatment. Highly recommended.

So the sad day arrived that every dog owner dreads, the time to say goodbye to your beloved four legged family member. Nicole and the team looked after us from the minute we arrived, we were given support, respect and time. I can't thank them enough for how dignified they made the whole experience and the time they gave us with our beautiful girl to say a special goodbye as she fell asleep and went over the rainbow bridge. I have never experienced such care and have recommended this surgery very highly since. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts x

We had our dog put sleep at home today and the vet and nurse were amazing two ladies I didn't catch their names probably due to circumstances but I can honestly say they made the most painful thing we've ever done as easy as it could have been, both of them were patient thoughtful kind and extremely sincere and I couldn't have wanted anyone else to have gone through it with us x I wish I had recalled their names as I feel they both deserve some recognition x

My little dog loves the staff so much at the vets that although he was unwell he really perked up and became quite excited to be there. Nik is excellent and always explains what he is doing and why and all the staff are knowledgeable. Our dog initially went to another vets in the area and although we now pay more it is worth it to see how relaxed our dog is there, even when he was castrated!

Where to start? The practice, both Nik and staff, are always approachable. I don't ever feel worried about popping in to ask advice. This afternoon my mind was put at rest on a subject which had concerned me and I thank you for your help and very real expertise. Valerie Durham, Ryan and Susie.

Everyone, and I mean everyone, is brilliant, kind, caring, helpful, knowledgeable and understanding that your pet is a family member and means everything to you. Nothing is too much trouble, if that means Nik or Nicole taking the time to explain everything to you, or Rachel and all the nurses never minding that they have to clean up, time and patience is there. I have many pets and they first then me have been treated with the utmost respect. I cannot thank you enough for all you have done over the years.

Nik and his team managed to save one of my cats after a particuarly nasty attack by a fox or badger. Her leg was badly severed. I was informed of my options at every point and it was handled kindly and professionally. Luckily (and down to skill) my gorgeous girl made a full recovery and is still perfectly healthy 2 years on with no lasting problems. I have 4 pets and only ever take them to this vet. Highly trusted.

Our thanks to Nik and the team for looking after Dillon, our wonderful golden retriever over the past few years. Dillon always felt at home at the practice and was known to take himself off around the back to check out the other animals and humans. Sadly, Dillon was put to sleep a couple of days ago after putting up a courageous fight against cancer. It was a very tough decision for us as he was a much loved part of our family but we did not want him to be in any pain or distress at any time. Nik was there to take care of him as promised at the outset of Dillon's illness and showed immense compassion towards Dillon and us. We would also like to thank Nik and the team for the lovely bouquet of flowers that arrived at our home yesterday. The McClure family

Vet Response

We are very sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction and would like to thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We highly value all of our client feedback and take comments like this very seriously. Our aim is to always treat each pet as if it was our own and each pet's welfare is at the centre of all of our decisions. We are very sorry for what happened to your cat and understand how upsetting this must have been for you. As with any treatment there is always an element of risk involved, especially with an anaesthetic. We believe that your cat had an anaphylactic reaction to the anaesthetic agent that we routinely use every day. Unfortunately, such a reaction cannot be pre-empted by our routine pre-operative blood tests. We would really appreciate the opportunity to discuss this with you further and would urge you to contact the practice at your earliest convenience
