I recommend without hesitation this Veterinary Practice. It is a pleasure taking our dog Holly (all previous vets visited before we moved to Telford had her shaking). We have just adopted a new puppy and have no worries introducing her to Sophie and the rest of the team in Shawbirch. If you have not used this Vetinerary Practice you will be pleasantly surprised - do not hesitate to take your precious pets for treatment.

Good to have a local vetenary service that knows my pet.

I have had 2 rabbits cared for by Ashcroft and both received wonderful care. The team at Ashcroft were very compassionate when we sadly had to say goodbye to them. We now have a young puppy who is due to be neutered. It's a worrying time for us but as always Sophie and Sam have been lovely and very informative and supportive. Our pup actually loves going to the vets he is strongly bonded to Mark who, as well as treating him very well, has made an effort to establish a relationship with him. In short I couldn't fault the practice or recommend them highly enough.

All I can say is that this is the first practice that any dog has been happy to visit.

My dog, Carley, appeared to have a lump on one side of its stomach. I visited our vet's, medivets, in shawbirch to book an appointment. I explained what the symptoms were and after a lengthy discussion they reassured me that the dog sounded pretty healthy but an appointment was made for a full check. This was carried out throughly, professionally and with great care.

I have had dogs and cats at this vets and they have always seen me reall quickly. Really friendly and helpful staff and great puppy parties! So good to have such a good practice just down the road and open late too! Keep up the good work team Shawbirch!

This is a centre of excellence for pets and owners. The professional, but personal approach of the personnel is worthy of high praise. The puppy parties are great for pups and owners. Sophie skilfully manages to facilitate interaction, whilst not allowing things to get out of hand. As a novice dog owner I have found the advice and guidance afforded to me invaluable; I was provided with strategies to manage my pup when taking the first, nervous steps to let him off the lead. Nothing is too much trouble for the team at Shawbirch and they are always on hand to help and guide owners. Due to having 2 house rabbits under the care of this establishment, both receiving excellent care, I had no hesitation when registering my new staffy pup. The newly appointed permanent vet is great, having a lovely manner with pets and owners; he'a a welcome addition! It is evident that all staff at the practice have a genuine love of animals and an empathy with owners. I can't praise them enough and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the establishment to anyone. A genuine 5* rating from me, along with copious thanks to Sophie for all of the reassurance and specialist knowledge she's given me.

We have been members of the Shawbirch practice for just under 2 years now, since we brought our Golden Retriever Sadie, home with us at 12 weeks old! From day one of joining the practice, every member of staff has been so friendly, professional and genuinely caring for our then puppy! We took part in the puppy parties which Sadie loved! And now at nearly 2 years old, she bounds and pulls us in to see everyone at the practice! I never thought a dog would want to go into the vets, but after the puppy parties, Sadie loves it there! We genuinely would recommend this practice to anyone that we can and feel very lucky to have such caring people looking after Sadie! it feels more like a family practice than a money making business! Thank-you all so much, especially to Rachel and Sophie, who played a big part in Sadie's first few weeks after bringing her home and making us feel welcome!

Poppy is our German Shepherd puppy who is now 17 weeks old. We took her for her first vaccination here at Shawbirch as it is local to us. Since Medivet have taken over this practice I cannot recommend them high enough. The staff are so friendly and give such good advice. If they don't know something they find out for you and let you know. Poppy loved her four weeks going to puppy socialising. It did her so much good to meet other puppies and she has now made a buddy with Tia the border collie, who luckily is just as mad as she is. The very first week was a little daunting when we were told to let them off the lead one by one... but they soon were all running around sniffing each other and playing madly. It was so good to see them having so much fun (and they certainly slept well that night). During the four weeks we were told lots of useful information such as how to stop our puppies biting us, to keep four legs on the floor and even how to clean their teeth! She is not afraid to go on the scales to be weighed nor is she scared of going into the practice... In fact we have to pop in now when she walks past just to say hello. Having taken the advice of Sophie I got Poppy a long lead and it has been extremely useful. I hid behind a boulder today on our walk and Poppy actually stopped and came looking for me!!! Anyone who is getting a puppy soon please get in touch with the girls to book yourself and your pup onto the puppy party... They really are good fun, and so important for puppy socialisation.
