Andy Buchan is an excellent vet and I have every confidence in him whenever I have to take any of my three dogs to see him. In addition to his expertise he is friendly, re-assuring and explains everything so that I understand what is wrong and treatment being given. The girls on the Reception Desk are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The Veterinary Nurses are also very friendly, kind and helpful and are always there to talk to you out of hours if you have a problem. In a nutshell I cannot praise Heathlands (Medivet) more highly and would recommend (and have been doing so) to any of my friends.

The Vet always puts Belle at ease which is a hard task as she hates Vets normally. They are always professional, helpful and polite and all make the experience for us and Belle easier.

I have always received kindness, compassion, good advice and help for my animals, for which I am very grateful.

My dog gets excited when we arrive - I think that says it all. He has always been treated as if he was the only dog that mattered. Very welcoming atmosphere - nothing is too much trouble.

I came to your practice because my Cavalier has SM. Andy has treated him brilliantly, sorted the problem, but always with an eye to cost because we're not insured. Andy also tackled a very long-standing problem in my Labrador's face which turned out to be pseudemonas, and has helped with his good advice. Once again we brought Jester to you with bloody diarrohea and even though Andy hasn't been the vet treating him, we are very pleased with James, your locum and would certainly recommend your practice. In fact I tell everyone about you and hope that other people will come to you for a first-class veterinary experience.

My dog was taken ill on a day out, I walked in and asked for help. They was so caring, not only to my dog ( who didnt make it) but to my feelings. All the staff were lovely, not only one the day Archie died, but after too. They phoned me to check how I was. They done everything they could for him, I can not fault anything, during and after the care. I was expecting a very large bill, and was shocked to find out, the hours that they cared for Archie was well under £180. If you are looking for a new vet, you wont go wrong with them. Thank you so much. Words can not explain how much you have done to help the worst day a little easier.

Having trapped my poor Border Terrier Joey's leg in the tail gate of my car on Good Friday, and advised by a vet in Birmingham to "keep an eye on him and see a vet if it doesn't improve". We travelled to Dorset for the weekend, Joey was in obvious pain overnight on Friday, so much so we sourced Medivet Wool on Saturday morning. The receptionist was extremely helpful and made an appointment for us later that morning. On arrival, we were quickly documented and Joey seen by the vet Andy Buchan, who treated him so gently. Andy advised an x-ray believing that he had a fracture of a carpal bone. We left Joey at 12 noon, at 2.30 we returned and Andy showed the x-ray confirming his diagnosis, he dressed and applied a supporting bandage. Everyone at the surgery demonstrated the utmost care, not only for Joey, but also for us as the perpetrators of his injury. We can not recommend them highly enough. Although we hope we do not need their services again, I would not hesitate to contact them if required when we visit Dorset. They even forwarded the x-rays and report to our own vet in Birmingham via email. Thank you again, Joey is on the mend, dressing having lasted 48 hours before he ripped it off, back to our vet tonight.

At what was the most distressing time for our family, losing our beloved dog Milly after 12 years, Andy and his team were amazing.
