On my return home I found my cat limping badly. The reception at penmelyn were very helpful and gave me an emergency appointment almost immediately. Vet was very friendly, took time to explain treatment and possible causes.

Vet Response

Thank you for your lovely review, we are pleased we were able to help you. Hopefully your cat is now on the mend but if you have any concerns please do call us.

Normally I have no issues with your practice you guys are very good , my last visit was not as the usual , the vet seemed tired and disinterested , he checked the back passage of my dog which caused him to yelp and for the next 2 days he was in quite discomfort , he would not put his tail up or sit down properly Normally really good so hopefully was a one off bad visit

Vet Response

We visited Cornwall on holiday with our injured dog and arranged a bandage change for her whilst down there. Notes from our own vet had been obtained and the vet who saw our dog had read them and provided excellent care.

Really enjoy visiting Penmellyn. Think all the staff are special people - always kind and prepared to listen to Simon who has aphasia. Pebble has no qualms when she comes for consultations. Advice on how to care for her has always been followed and we are pleased her health is so good which we believe is partly genetic and also because she is very well cared for by the practice.

Vet Response

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review, we enjoy seeing you, Simon and Pebble. It is always good to hear our advice is followed and you obviously look after Pebble very well.

Very good service but I always find it an expensive exercise!

We spend quite a few weeks a year on holiday at Mawgan Porth and, whilst on holiday this time, Bracken our Welsh Springer Spaniel contracted a bacterial infection which envolved treatment and an overnight stay at the St. Columb practice. It is really reassuring to know there is a top quality vetinary practice so close to where we spend most of our holidays. All the staff were informative and very friendly- congratulations to all, Tony and Jenny Lehane, and of course Bracken.

I think the fact that I have been taking my dogs to Penmellyn since 1995 speaks volumes. I have and will continue to recommend them as I think they are the best practice in my area.
