It is rare to find Rabbit savy vets, I'm very pleased to have found a surgery where they understand the importance of acting quickly with a poorly rabbit and that the after care is crucial. I felt that I could call or take him back at a moments notice if I felt he wasnt recovering as he should, some surgeries make rabbit owners feel less important than cat or dog owners, but this wasn't the case here. Many thanks to the team, Skip was back to his bouncy self within a few hours of his op. It would be nice to see more rabbit welfare posters in your surgery though :)

My little dog broke his leg a few weeks ago which was a highly distressing and upsetting situation for him and everyone involved, we rushed him to Oadby Vets4Pets although he was registered in Loughborough. The reception staff very quickly rang Loughborough and had he details transferred and he went straight in to see the vet. They took him straight through for x-rays and were extremely professional and reassuring as I was devastated. They rang me the moment they could see the x-rays and explained everything and kept me updated, as well as booking in the surgery as soon as they could; and kept me updated all day on the day of the surgery knowing I was worried. The staff knew him by name pretty much instantly and were all so friendly and happy to see him whenever we came in. They were there instantly for advise when Harleigh was driving us mad at home and had chewed up half the house and gave us medication on the day when it was needed. There are certain people who can and should work with animals and all staff that I have met at this vets are those kinds of people, you can see that all staff love animals and love all the pets that are brought to them. A HUGE thank you to everyone that has helped with my little boy Harleigh through this awful time!

My beloved 15 year old Border Collie Cross Fudge went down hill rapidly over a couple of weeks due to chronic kidney failure. When I knew there was nothing more I could do I called Vets4Pets and ended up speaking with Penny the vet. She talked me through the process of having Fudge put to sleep and told me to take my time and call when I knew the time was right and they'd fit me in. Sadly the next day I had to make that call and an appointment was made with Penny that morning. Despite never having met Fudge before she showed such compassion and care to both Fudge and myself. The appointment was unhurried and I was allowed as much time as I wanted with Fudge both before and after he was put to sleep. Its the most painful decision to make to put your dog to sleep. But the fact that he was treated with such respect and care by Penny has made that decision easier to live with and I can't thank her enough for that. The rest of the team that I met were also really caring and accommodating.

I paid vets for pets £400 for treatment for lesions on my dogs scrotum. then I was given a quote for £500 for a biopsy. I sought a second opinion and was told the lesions were nothing to worry about.I was given a cream to apply costing £11. My dog is all better now! I am so disappointed with the practice, as I have used them for years. They seem to put making a profit ahead of the wellbeing of the animal.
Vet ResponseWe are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the treatment you received for your dog at Oadby Vets4Pets. When he was presented to us the lesion on his scrotum was inflamed and superficially infected, which was confirmed when a smear was taken from the site which was found to contain large numbers of bacteria concluding an infection was present for which he was started on antibiotics and anti-inflammatory treatment. This test was not charged for as a goodwill gesture as we were aware such a large dog needed large doses of antibiotics which were going to be expensive. Superficial skin infections usually need a minimum of three weeks of antibiotics and initially there was some improvement in the scrotal skin at re-examination, however, it was mentioned he could have been licking at the lesions which may have delayed a resolution. Biopsy was discussed during consultations as this would provide a firm diagnosis of the lesion and whether it would need further treatment. We always put the well being of the animals under our care first and offer appropriate steps to make an accurate diagnosis so that the correct treatment can be provided. Our St Bernard boy Yogi had the dreaded castration Op and he had a couple of complications with an infection, Yogi is a timid boy and was quite worried, the staff were so patient with him and helpful, I was a typical fretful mother and they reassured me every step of the way. I will not use another vet for my boy he actually enjoys going now. Thanks guys

When my cat developed urinary problems we were faced with 2 weeks of visits to the surgery, plus 2 over-night stays at VetCall at the PDSA. Over this time we saw each of the Vets and most of the receptionists and nurses. Everyone was kind, caring, attentive and professional. I was given all the options over treatment and all the information I needed. Thomas was always handled with care and respect, to the point where he become much less scared about his visits. I can't recommend the practice highly enough. Many thanks to you all for making Thomas better!

Appointment provided when requested. All staff helpful and friendly. Vet friendly, thorough and informative. Did not feel rushed and vet listened to our concerns. Animal treated with care and dignity. Very pleased with experience.

I would just like to say thank you to all the team. I took my cat in for spaying and chipping today and was made to very welcome by the lovely receptionists. I was very nervous and scared about leaving my cat but the vet made me feel at ease about it and explained the procedure to me. All the staff were helpful. I would definitely recommend this vets to others. Thanks again.
